I picken this wrench up at a Flea market and it was from Spain. I t was really rusty and i chose it for use in the Evaporust in the Ultrasonic cleaner while heating it up. I wanted to see the affect and i was surprised.
Looks great Dale. I learned two new techniques from this video - the plastic bag/ultrasonic trick and a good way to install rivets with an air hammer. Sure glad you had more luck getting that spring and pin out that I did! 😁Thanks for mentioning my channel! Best to you, Bill.
@@Dalesworkshop unfortunately not, I've uses up all my holidays for this year already! Going to try and persuade the wife to do an overnight somewhere. I could always go on my own though, there'd be more room too.
@@Bloodshed.restorations Back in the day i went alone a lot, camping and also Backpacking and i love'd it, the alone time is great. Now my wife and i have a 33FT Trailer we drag with us. It nice but i don't care to pull that thing so much any more.
@@Dalesworkshop I know what you mean, a few years ago I used to enjoy going out on my own, up hill and mountains (not many in the Uk). I'll have to force myself, life goes by far too quickly!
mr.dale it is a nice looking wrench i can see why you picked it up shame it's a bit wonky. but you cleaned it up nice looks way better than before you can look at it this way if was easy cleaning up old tools everyone would do it take care
I have that exact same wrench. It has the same leaf spring to allow the part to flex so I don't know why yours does not move. Looks great now compared to how you got it. T
Ya gotta be nuts to be interested in these kinds of videos and you’d be looking at one (me) that loves these kinds of videos. Thanks. I’d have painted the handle fire engine red to be more like the original.
I Thought about it, but most wrenches of this type are red. I wanted something a little different, I do like originality so i might consider it yet. Thanks for watching Sandy.
I was at first confused by the thumbnail title. I wondered if small span was misspelled. Then when he spoke, I realized he meant Spanish. Probably it would be clearest to say Spanish-made or made in Spain. I'm not trying to bust chops, just explaining how the wording affected my understanding.
In the video, I clearly said made in Spain. I did misspell Wrench in the thumbnail. Thanks for pointing that out, Its something i will pay closer attention to in the future.
True, i just don't like the flaw. It is going to be a great looking wrench when i finish with it even with the flaw. I just wish it wasn't there. I'll probably never find a replacement part but you never know. Thanks for watching.
