make. a trucker ice AC unit. use a foam ice cooler ur small fan and ice. make a hole in roof of it put fan where blows straight into it. two exhaust holes on sides ( can use pvc pipe to direct it as well) air comes out about 65 degrees

I was just in the BWCA with my son in may! We did a lot of hiking as we came too early and ice wasn’t out yet. But we camped at Crescent lake and had an absolutely amazing time seeing moose and timber wolf and just being in such a peaceful place. I envy how close you are to all of it. My son and I will be back in February for an ice fishing trip and I’m already counting down the days. Cheers Mav and keep up the great content. 🏕️

Hey Mav, you should carry freeze dried fruits and veggies as well as grains and nuts plus spices and condiments of your choice to make great meals. You don't have to worry about keeping things cold, the prep is mostly ready unless you want to add fresh food to your meals and if you are hiking, the freeze dried foods are very light to carry. I would buy some airtight containers like 'lock and lock' or 'snapware' to keep the freeze dried foods fresher longer once you open the bags. You can even get beans and grains that are partially cooked and then freeze dried if you want a faster meal. I never purchase those ready made meals where you just add hot water....usually too much sodium! And keeping nuts around are always a great energy source, crunch and flavor. Enjoy!😁😁

Hey Mav! I feel like it might be a good idea to reinforce that cutting/folding down counter with maybe a couple chains or under side support. The screws and hinges holding those on will start wearing pretty quickly I imagine.

Whats cool is that you can actually cook in your vehicle standing up and if the weather is bad outside you just cook inside its great little setup only thing is in the winter I'm sure you'd freeze like crazy, you'll have to really do some heavy-duty installation to make that bug able to withstand your winters

You could probably take the leg from a broken tripod (if you have a broken one) and make one or two support legs for your outside table. Just a thought. Put tarp clips on the end that you can crank down on the sides of the table. When you are done you can retract them and stow inside. Love the vids.

I had the privilege of doing a week long camping trip with my school in the boundary waters about 12 years ago. It’s one of my favorite trips I’ve ever taken, it’s sad that they had to evacuate, but hopefully this keeps everyone up there safe!
