Second video on this chassis build. There is still a ton of bars left to go in the car everywhere. Every builder has their process on doing things. This is just a take on how I do mine.
Beautiful work!!! I would have loved to see it keeping the bottom floor, I like to do my 90 GT, but am thinking how cool it would look, running tubes cutting floor and welding going thru existing structure, my car is race ready but street, so I don't care about a little extra weight, great job I enjoyed video
Subbed brotha! About time we have some chassis guys in this bitch. The chassis can make or break you a millionaire. There’s tons of wiring and engine/fab but not very many who show the building of a good chassis so please keep knocking these videos out and you will start gaining I promise ya haha. With racing being popular again there’s lots of people interest but don’t understand a lot of basic concepts or why you do certain things if you take the time and break down what your doing and explain things that seem everyday routine. Imagine the camera is a rookie you are going to leave you business to while you leave and no contact for year and you want to make sure they know everything. People really appreciate the technical stuff way more then you would think! Well back to the videos just wanted to show some love
Hell yeah more is always welcome. I have built many cars myself but time waits for no one so now I am just a spectator but love to see the in's and outs of how it is being done today as opposed to how we did it last millennia.
Yes love the content. If your not that good in front of the camera which I couldn’t tell you did fine you could always just do the time lapse while you work. Sometimes that’s the best content is just being a fly on the wall we don’t always need a big personality like Cletus or something haha
Behind the scenes videos r the best but not to many people do them or at least this in-depth on each section. Keep the videos coming n we will keep coming back.
Definitely interested in more videos Eric! Like you mentioned, content with how you square stuff up, notch tubing, welding process ect ect.. pretty much anything regarding how you build a car. awesome video 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Kevin thanks man! I will definitely make it a point in the future to make these things happen! It’s hard finding the time but I think it’s something really cool out of the ordinary for me🤘🏻
Looks good. I've done dirt track stock car chassis work without a table. I like your little shop. Will be watching, got a Ranger pick-up that will be built a bit at a time. "Daily" driver, ya know...
I just want to say that Eric does fantastic work he’s help me with my race car when I race 850 index it is number one concern is your safety also he is a master builder so hit him up with your chassis needs.
I really like this video, I've always been curious what all goes into construction of a car like this. Is the only reason for the rear rails class rules? How much does it cost to build (essentially) an all new chassis like this into an existing shell, as opposed to starting from scratch and building a pro mod? It seems to me like it would be more work to do this (and therefore more money if someone is paying you to do it).
Hey thanks man, yeah the only reason for the factory frame rail still being in the car is due to class rules. It honestly is a lot of variables for the pricing. It depends on bar layouts and cert. How light the car needs to be and how far they want me to cut it up and also how much tin work and carbon work is involved along with all the accessory mounts. These builds can go from moderate to extreme very fast.
What’s the jig setup? Homemade? I want to build a 25.2 chassis and may just make my own chassis jig with some box tubing, any advice appreciated. Ya killing it!! I strive to be like you
Thanks brotha I appreciate it! The jig is home made. It’s a double rail set up for unlimited mounting options. You can make it out of 2x3 square tube .125 wall or.1875 wall. The 6 out riggers have acme thread and jam nuts for threaded levelers.
Looks killer, do you have any/mind showing me if you do blueprint/specs/videos On building the table so I have an idea what I should be doing? Would be so appreciated! But totally get it if you wanna keep it secret lol
