As a Seattle Mariner fan, this saddens me so much. We know exactly what you're going through, as it's basically the same playbook the NBA and OKC ownership used to get the Sonics out of Seattle. That place was absolutely rocking a few years ago. It's not your fault.

i'm a rangers fan but i feel for yall in Oakland. the A's are easily one of the most iconic teams in American sports and I can't imagine them anywhere else.

Imagine you're a young baseball player, dreams of going to the MLB. You watch the playoffs and you see the large crowds and the hype and the noise of a full stadium and cant wait to get to the league. You finally arrive in the MLB and you're greeted with this, a game with less people than most college ball and some highschool games. Its so sad to see this happen to an iconic franchise

Sup man, I am a lifelong die-hard Texas Rangers fan, raised my entire life in Dallas and go to Rangers games regularly. As a rival fan this really hurts my heart for you guys. I can’t even lie bro, I found myself choking up a bit watching this video especially after you announced it was the lowest attendance in a long time for y’all. If there’s one thing I have always known and remembered from watching Rangers road games in the Coliseum that the A’s have some of the funnest coolest fans in the MLB from the drums and cheers going non-stop all game to the horns and all that other stuff I always found myself wanting to one day go to the Coliseum to watch a game in person. It sucks what terrible ownership can do to a once beloved franchise like the A’s, it seems like the whole Vegas thing is already set in stone and it’s already too late, but I will be hoping and praying for a miracle for y’all to be able to keep your team in your city.

Even as a young Phillies fan this hurts. Athletics were once a Philly team, then seemed to find a great home in Oakland. Passionate fan base there, just as passionate as here. You guys deserve so much more

I went to some Mets games at Shea Stadium in the late 70's where they had crowds of less than 5,000, especially late in the season. But nothing as small as this. In a way it's kind of cool. You could pretty much sit wherever you wanted, except they wouldn't let you sneak down into the box seats. Once I was with a group of about five people, and we took seats near the top of the stands just for the heck of it and we were the only ones sitting in the entire upper deck. It felt like they were playing the game just for you, LOL.

Wow. When I played baseball in high school, our JV jerseys were Kelly Green with with letters & numbers & yellow outline just like that! Nice! Varsity jerseys were sleeveless grey w/ Kelly Green or sleeveless Kelly Green & WHT. We had the cleanest jerseys in our district when I played 👌

To put into perspective, I went to a Tampa Bay Rays game about 4 days ago, and before the first pitch the 50/50 raffle was over $10,000. I honestly feel so bad for the fans of Oakland, the owner just simply does not care and honestly it is pretty sad. I feel bad for the fans that have grown up with the team and they are losing what they once knew and loved. I love your videos man, and I love the loyalty and commitment you have towards the team.

When the Athletics were owned by Charles O. Finley, since his fire sale and trading away his best players after winning three consecutive World Series, it was around 1977, I was watching the A's taking on the Mariners, and it appeared that there was less than 1000 fans in attendance.

I'm a Cleveland fan and we sometimes have some rough empty crowds...nothing like this though. And as a Cleveland fan, I know a thing or two about owners backstabbing fans and moving historic franchises (Browns). Cant imagine baseball without Oakland. I'm rooting and hoping the best for the fanbase so hard right now!

I was watching this live...loved the banners and, dude, it was so empty that it was almost creepy. It was so quiet that you could hear stuff you usually can't hear. Crazy.

John Fisher NEEDS to sell the A’s to somebody else, and that new owner NEEDS to keep the team in the Oakland area and rebuild the team from the ground up and build a new stadium for the A’s in the Oakland area

Being a Detroit Tigers fan, I have never seen a stadium be that empty, not even during the 2003 season when they went 43-119, we still had a respectable amount of fans show up but this is depressing and I’m deeply sorry Oakland, but no city or team should be going through this mess

I am in SF from UK, to watch Giants play. Was stopped at SFO by TSA, who told me I should watch one game of the A’s! As they have been sold out. Deepest sympathy to all the loyal A’s fans.

My dad and I took a baseball tour of all the stadiums on the west coast. By far, Oakland had the best food options out all the parks.

Both of my parents are from the south side of the Bay so I was born and raised a Giants fan. That being said, Oakland fans are some of the most passionate fans I have ever seen. They deserve so much more than this trash owner is giving them. Keep the A's in Oakland and keep the historic Bay Bridge series alive. Good luck fellas

I'm a casual tigers fan and don't really follow baseball too much but it is so sad to see what's happened to the athletics, I remember growing up in the early 2010s and all the series we had against each other in the playoffs, even if the As never won they were always competitive.. this has to be the worst ownership in professional sports, I've never seen attendances this low in any pro sport, the fans deserve better.

I haven't been to an A's game in Oakland since 2006 (I live in Dallas). Back then...easily had 20-25k people. Not surprised about the "new low" attendance. Bummer to all the fans in the Bay area that are losing their team. Wonder if the Giants would allow another team in the area after? Maybe for SJC?

I keep reading stories from A’s fans talking about their childhood memories of going to games. It’s sad and infuriating what this POS owner and Manfred are doing! Even though the Phillies are off to a shaky start, we know our owner wants to win as bad as the fans do! Fisher only cares about profitability from the luxury tax pot & tv deals! The other owners should force him to sell the team!!

Would love to catch a game at this stadium before its gone. Gonna be in Anaheim on the 27th, but the flight to Oakland looking pricey and I can't do that drive.

Man I used to go to 15-20 A’s games per year from about 2010-2019. Went once in 2021 and it was too sad for me to come back. This crowd is 1/4 of what I saw a few years back. Remembering the good times and good teams with crowds of 30k+ at my local ballpark and then seeing this makes me emotional. Feels like what was once a huge, fun part of my life will soon be gone for good.

As a Cubs fan I feel deeply sad for y’all Oakland fans, I would never know what it would be like to see a Wrigley field with only 2k people.

The Oakland A's fans have a short memory. Only just a few short years ago the A's made the playoffs with competitive teams. A team has to be competitive to win their division. Even then with the A's winning their division, only 20 thousand bothered to support the team in the playoffs when the stadium should have been sold out, or nearly sold out. Many blame the owner but if there is no support for a competitive team, I don't blame the owner for giving the fair weather fans a bad team... No wonder all of Oakland's major league teams LEFT...

Man, we pull more than that every aviators game (Oaklands AAA for those who don’t know). Wish they’d stay in Oakland. Most people don’t want them here because we know the owners are banking on away fans filling up the stadium.

I was at an A's game in 1979 and Mitchell Page hit a game winning home run. And the headline the next day about Page hitting a home run in front of a 'small crowd'. I was kind of outraged because the attendance was 5000 people, that was pretty good for '79. Think current A's fans will think that again, during 5000 plus attendance games, aka special occasions. A's have a number 6 draft pick this year, next year will be another top 6. Hopefully they pick well and be ready to compete by 2027.

When your a real fan all of this matters, you get so emotionally invested and Attach to your team and root for them no matter what win or lose, and you come to the games pay for parking buy Tickets, merchandise, concessions, ect.,And we all know its not cheap, Yes your right Management did this for the on field product. But you can't blame them for wanted to get a new stadium. They have been in talks with the city of Oakland for years and years trying to get this done and the city won't budge and give it too them. You can't blame ownership wanting a new Stadium to attract new fans and players to come the park. The city let the raiders walk and there gonna let the a's walk and thats unfortunate

Lifelong baseball fan and Vegas born and raised, here. We don't want the A's. They're not our team, they're Oakland's team. I'm a Dodgers fan, life-long. I'm not rooting for the A's. If Vegas wants a team we need an expansion team. And seeing how the A's ownership is treating the A's fans in Oakland, what makes us think they won't do it to us down the road? Honestly they should be forced to sell the team.

Regardless of their record I do think they actually have a pretty solid offense. Ruiz is a stud and fun to watch. Their pitching is garbage so that’s what I feel really holds them back

This is very sad to see. I’m not a baseball fan but am from the Bay Area and the A’s game was my first sporting event as a kid for an elementary school field trip. At that time their were many fans that were attending. (2012)
