I love how Clark is so protective of Lois, just like she is of him. I did like Cat Grant but we all know the endgame was Clark and Lois. They were so perfect for each other. Thank you as always for the uploads. My favorite show of all time is Smallville and I never rolled my eyes at episodes or got tired of it. My gf and I are big Smallville fans and I call her my Lois she calls me her Smallville. :)
Anyone else want to slap Cat? She deserved to have her cookie thrown in the garbage. Clark/Tom's horrified facial expression when he finds out she's his new partner is adorable!
Is it terrible that I love Clark's face when Cat says she's his new partner? In my mind it just confirms how he rather drop dead than have anyone else but Lois be his partner.
that thing about no relation to the one on TV must be a subtle reference to the fact that good morning metropolis was hosted by a cat grant in season 9
I like Cat Grant in SV... precisely because it's originally written for Smallville and this series alone. If she were a copy of Supergirl's Cat Grant (mind you, that series did some things right but it didn't fly as high as Smallville) she'd be overlapping with Tess Mercer's snappy "I'm the ONLY terrorist b*tch" around here" plus she'd be competing with Lois's "I'm the smartest smart-ass around" vibes. Besides, she had to be annoying or Clark might actually "like" her for a partner and we don't want that, do we?
SMALLVILLE'S Cat Grant (the real Cat Grant) was never depicted in the show, except on Billboards and flyers showing her to be a successful TV personality. The 'Cat Grant' that we see in Season 10 of Smallville stated "Not to be confused with the woman on TV" --- check out what she said at the 51 second mark. And in this episode of Smallville, that character also revealed that 'Cat Grant' was not her real name. She had randomly chosen that name as an alias to escape (with her toddler son) an abusive relationship. She just never realized that she was choosing the same name as a famous TV personality in Metropolis...lol
actually there was a better cat grant in season 9 of smallville during the episode of the blind date(season 9 episode 6 crossfire) she was close to the comics character( more calm, an annoying character you cant help but love). but this, this right here is a disaster lol
This Smallville 'Cat Grant' was not the real 'Cat Grant'. Listen to what she says at the 51 second mark: "No relation to the woman on TV." In the show 'Smallville' there was another 'Cat Grant' (the real one) who had her own Talk Show --- that's the "woman on TV" she's referring to. On a couple of occasions during season 9 and season 10, we would see signs and brochures of the actual TV-host Cat Grant. In fact, if I recall correctly, the real Cat Grant was the one who a TV Network had chosen to host a morning show over Lois and Clark in that episode in Season 9 in which Lois and Clark had hosted one episode of a morning TV show. At the end of the episode, Lois was holding a news piece which showed a photo and name of the real Cat Grant being chosen to host the TV show. And it turns out that this 'Cat Grant' in this particular clip, had a different real name, but had randomly chosen the name 'Cat Grant' to escape her abusive ex, with her toddler son. I think that this very same episode (or the episode after) she revealed to Clark Kent that her name ('Cat Grant') was an alias.
I hated SV's version of Cat Grant. I much prefer LnC's Cat, a tramp, but an utterly lovable tramp. Not this shrill, irritating, butter-wouldn't-melt priss, but a slutty little witch with very few thoughts in her head and a surprisingly good heart underneath it all... that's a character I could get behind. This slogan-toting snip is wholly unlike any version of Cat I've ever seen before.
This chick is NOT the real character of "Cat Grant" on this show. Clark explicit *says* she was using a FAKE name. The woman who was Clark's date in _Crossfire_ is the real CG character for SV.
I love the cat grant on Supergirl way more, while at first she was a bit annoying she really shows her intelligence and skill and is a great character. This one is just annoying AF
I love Supergirl's Cat Grant, though I know SV S10 "Cat Grant" is not the one that is in Supergirl ... the SV S9 "Crossfire" Cat Grant(the one Clark goes on a blind date with) is the one that might have gone on to Catco Worldwide in National City ... Supergirl's Cat Grant did have a huge crush on Superman 😉
@@MrAmericarox I mean he could run there, but considering the only reason he’s going there is to see Lois and she doesn’t know his secret yet, so it’d be a little strange when she starts asking questions.
