Yeah with the later Lana in the ISIS office getting jacked made more sense and allowed better Clark/Lana interaction helping mutual friend Chloe vs SAVE LANA! in the middle of a CHLARK bff ship episode centered around Doomsday & Brainiac using Chloe to kill Clark. I reject your purist comicbook boy dislike of last half of S8 if you are including the last 5 episodes which expose the deep deep so deep devotion of Clark & Chloe as each other's friend that for Chloe care for humanity that once she finds out what she'd thought was a stand in faux caring Clark in Davis Bloome she jumps to need to care for this Thing whose purpose is killing Clark ergo Chloe decides if the human covering loves me I will return that in someway to keep the ultimate planet's doom from appearing. That for me is a beautiful Hulk/jekyll-hyde/kingkong/phantomoftheopera level of romantic Shakespearean/Greek lore lit on screen for Superman to make Chloe the ultimate sacrificing friend for Clark. Tom, Allison and Sam as actors stole the show in their scenes representing that concept IMHO. and Oliver Queen's snark unfair because no one until finale considered black cryptonite as an option for split Davis so OF COURSE Chloe could only think 'I can save the world and Clark by keeping this thing human' and run forever hoping for some answer before she dies. But the scene that was scary one act stage EPIC will be Oliver, Jimmy held hostage by Davis in the coffeehouse basement.
I was one of those Smallville 'fangirl' teen-adult women who made lots of fanvids for 'ships of the characters on my Channel. I've liked alot of the animated Batman, Supes and Justice League animation series and mini films plus 80's-90s comicbooks but Smallville will always be the standout next to Christopher Reeve first 2 Superman Donner films. I downloaded keep the Max Fleischer Animated Superman cartoons & some early George Reeves clips.
