Probably gonna pickup these tomorrow. I'm waiting on rma parts to replace the entire yellow plastic housing on my sman460. The 460 has huge durability design flaws. If your hanging hook ever seems too floppy stop using it asap as it can damage your screen or break the man housing.
Me as an HVAC Tech mainly doing troubleshooting work after seeing what Jim & Company is Doing with Measure Quick it makes me less interested in manifolds with hoses for every day use. But they are of course still needed for charging during installation of split systems.
thanks for this nice introduction video, i think you forgot to mention one important thing, if users buy it , do we need to recalibrate the temp and setting ? or we just can use it right away. thanks
i just bought the 380 today looking to get the wireless probes, and i really do hope this one being my 4th fieldpice manifold lasts longer than a year. i average 1 a year due to cracking and sensors freaking out.. they have been good with the warrenty. but that wait from cali is a long on here in dc
My biggest complain with the old unit was the flimsy hook that will not stay in the up position requiring two hands to hang the damn thing. This one doesn't look like it will stay up any better.
@@FieldpieceProducts I's not how beefy it is. The problem is it's inability to remain in the upright position or to positively lock in the upright position.
👍 I’ll got one, I all most thought you were talking about a Testo lol. My last five Fieldpiece manifolds all the hanging hooks fell off. Three got damage when to started raining 🌧 one fogged up when walking from warm outside into a coldbox display started shorting out. That little job link pager connection device was a coin flip if it was going to connect or work that day. All five fieldpiece manifold‘s could not hold deep vacuum new out of the box. Until I took apart all the knobs removed the orings filled that grove with silicone grease and silicone grease on the backside of the threads of the shaft then they will hold a deep vacuum. Looking forward to trying out the new manifold looks like Fieldpiece finally going in the right direction. 👍
Man i was waiting for him to throw those down the stairs and put them on the water test to see if its actually as he saids. I want some 480v but im scared that they will have all the issues the 460 did. Like Being stuck in hg, breaking off pieces easily, micron gauge not working. Not detecting the k clamp. I guess the waiting game has begun.
Yes, it works with the existing Job Link wireless psychometer and clamp probes. Receives measurements from them up to 350' away, and reads all measurements directly on the SMAN screen (both 3 and 4 port)
Field piece are junk have sent my sm 460 back 3 times even another tech sent his in twice the new yellow jacket titan are the way to go. the last sm 460 i got back i cant even sell and they are brand new hopefully no more recall on them either lol
@@FieldpieceProducts I will never buy another set after all this yellow jacket has my business even when I call fieldpiece about the issues I was having it was basically my problem not theirs you all do not take care of their customers I recommend yellowjacket to anyone I can guarantee I am not the only 1 with these problems
update, I got one now SM480V for a month now, so far so good. using several times daily to brake it in. using the NAVAC NRD16T vacuum pump and TruBlu vacuum hose and job link and FP Bluetooth sensors and or MeasureQuick. Killer setup for now but only after 1 year+ of daily use to tell if it is reliable, dependable, durable. The only little thing I have notice after a month of several times a day of daily use is a little vacuum leakage when turning the valves or getting below 400 micron range. My fix for this is simple maintenance just 1: remove the valve piston oring assembly from the manifold, 2: with a tooth pick remove the orings and back fill the the grove with silicone grease. Back fill with silicone grease behind the orings up in the threaded shaft area. ( NOT IN THE REFRIGERANT SIDE OF THE ORINGS ! ). 3: Reinstall valve, knob, piston assembly. After that I can pull my vacuum down to 32 MICRONS.
