Not sure what you were trying to select in the early parts of the video, the car seemed to have recognized the available parking spaces fine and was merely waiting for you to choose one and press 'start'?
I’m sorry Bjorn but you gave the car no chance. You just randomly pressed on anything and expected it to know what you were thinking. I have never had any of those issues. Ok it doesn’t blink.
Im waiting for Tesla to fix and restore the Summon option. Its shambles that you pay a premium for a feature, and they just disable it with no further explanation
Autopark and Summon never really worked anyway. I have a 2021 M3 with USS and most of the time it doesn't see any parking spots at all. If it does see them, then it's pretty much up to luck whether it will manage to park there and do so in an acceptable fashion. I tried it again today (parallel, large space, fairly easy) and it did manage, but it did so much dithering and juggling around that it took ages.
The system states that you should be ready to take over the vehicle, and that pedestriant walked out very fast out of nowhere. I think the car did a great job. It was quick and even corrected when it wasn’t aligned.
I have never laughed my ass off so much as in this video xD. Funny noises and jokes of the presenter with some slap stick use of the UI. Really liked the showcase, IMO it works well enough and parked better than the humans there
Sorry to say you mentioned the self parking system was cumbersome, but watching what you were doing in the car was bloody 'cumbersome'. Pls read what's written on the screen and press START! I assume you use Android or Apple smartphone. Please let us know which option blinks when the screen waits for your input.
Why did Bjorn keep pressing the diagonal button? That stressed me. 😂 But still can’t get over how random the cabin design is compared to the exterior. It seems like bonsai Mercedes on the outside and generic Geely on the inside?
The blinking I could excuse, even the fact that it doesn't offer a choice to back in or pull forward. When I visit Costco, I never back in so I won't need help pulling straight in. But it should alert pedestrians but the drive into people while attempting to park is a major one. I suspect could be fixed with a software update. But on the whole, I think it did pretty well.
I would have loved you had tested to park beside a car, instead of leaving space. It seemed a lot like it took a really wide turn in the first 2 booths you tried to back in to.. What would happen if a car was parked in the right booth?
This Autopark feature is not convincing at all. Should not be in a release since it didn’t break early enough. This can be dangerous. Toyota performed awesome. Let’s see how Tesla with newest update 2024.8.9 performs on cars without USS. See you tonight for 1000km ?
Your other videos are nice, but this one is annoying. Why you do so clumsy? Just push start! I think the car does what i t should do. And why it have to blink? Do you blink when you manual park in your country? Continue your videos, always entertaining! Greetings Emiel
Teslas with USS have been able to park between white lines for a while now - at least a year. It's got better with every release, although it does tend to abort if it sees an obstacle rather than pausing. Worrying the Smart didn't stop for the pedestrian!
I think it’s odd that EVs manufacturers can’t get functions to work that’s been in the car industry for ages. My car from 2015 auto park better than this 😂
