Hi Ron, I have watched all your smart home series but was wondering if you had any videos on the IR modules that maybe used in these systems and how they might work?

Ron, my parents remodeled their home, and ran all the wires to future-proof the house, I was wondering where I could buy the cable management box and the amplifying splitter you show here. I went to the website, but I had no luck finding the product.

Hi Ron Thanks once again for your help. What Do you think about these two amp/splitters i found on Amazon. one is from Viewsonics VSMA-608C and the other is PCT BooWDR94U both are around $50. and both have high comments the only bad i read is it gets warm to the touch. Thanks for your time.

Hello Ron, I've watched several of your videos and searched other videos but cannot find an answer to my question. Would there be any issues with running an 8-port splitter from the drop line and having the cable modem connected to one of the 8 ports? Someone told me an amplified splitter would interfere with a cable modem so I had to run a 2-way from the drop then connect (one to cable and one to the 8-way) Thoughts? Thanks

Hi Ron, I am enjoying your videos, but can seem to find an answer to my question. I have an antenna in my attic that runs to a amp/splitter in my basement then out to 4 TVs in my house. The run to my bedroom goes out to the garage and back into the house on the opposite side of the room from my TV. The result is a coax cable running along my floor. If I place a two way splitter in the attic, I can go directly to the bedroom on the wall with the two and the other run to the amp/splitter. What are your thoughts on this? Will I lose too much signal doing this? I am less than 15 miles from all tv stations that I care about.

Scott Meczkowski Scott that should work as well. It does not sound like you have long runs. Putting the antenna in the attic not outside cuts the signal in about half from what I have been told. If you are fairly close to the TV stations that may be OK. Just make sure to use a quality splitter/amplifier and good connections. Thanks for watching

Hi Ron, I am planning to buy 12 output. But only have 45~1000Mhz. Wil this still work? I mean, signal coming in will still be the same? What can you advise? Thanks.

This screams ingress..
@RonKipperDatacomm1

Hey Dawg everything in the panel is considered low voltage so I am not sure where you are worried about ingress. As long as the panel is grounded as well you should be good to go. Let me know Ron
