Very interesting 👍😀I love your video’s u r great. Fun and easy to understand. I am glad I have found you tonight 🙏🏻Philips Hue sounds great. But I live in a flat and at the moment I only need/ want my wifi amazon bulb to re connect to sky new dual router. And Alexa… I can’t re connect the bulb to new sky router today 😭
bro can you just do a video on how to choose the colors to rotate on philips hue.. I want to choose the colors to rotate.. I just want to choose purple to rotate and there is no option for personal color choices.. sux
Hello, the Hue Lab Formulas might offer what you want here. The ColorLoop formula will loop through a range of colors, whilst the Living Scenes one will cycle through more limited colors... even though I agree that you can't just say "purple" in either: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Kq2Mw7FyskU.html I'll check out some third party apps in the future and do a video if I see any that offer what you're asking about.
Should we care that hue does not have thread support or is it irrelevant? Will hue one day be able to update to thread or will it require a hardware change? Will hue continue to work in my home even if my Wifi goes down?
I don't mind too much, for me Matter support is more relevant. Thread is just another protocol, and a rival to WiFi, ZigBee and Z-Wave. I don't see ZigBee disappearing anytime soon, IMO. Hue won't be able to update to Thread without a hardware change, you're right. Most of Philips Hue still works without WiFi, especially via the Hue Accessories and routines/schedules that have already been configured. However you won't be able to setup new routines, scenes, lights etc without WiFi, because you'll find that the Hue app won't connect.
I am doing my kitchen with under cabinet light and have chosen a warm white 50 50 strip in an aluminium channel and I want to interface it to my Zigbee 3 Samsung hub and use a PIR sensor linked to the hub so when I enter the kitchen the lights come on and light up the work surface, they need to stay on when people are in the kitchen, then go off after a set time. Any suggestions as the control to use please Thank Bob in the UK
Hey Bob, that sounds a fun project. I know that Philips Hue can do this easily (I use the Hue motion sensors with a Hue Lightstrip and you can set the lights to go off after a set time of no-motion). I'm not sure of the best way to do this via Samsung though sorry, it has been a while since I have played around with a SmartThings hub.
