Thanks not all the names of the lids came up clear in the video and not in a list either help out here Mr rd rash in an endeavour to safe written detail a load
No, no, it's just sci-fi video, just like all those fake, new concept, fancy cellphone videos! Just a click bait. They do good, don't they? I just played&stopped it within a few seconds!
A heavy rain storm is all that seems is needed to cause a problem somewhere. How about just having riders focus on the fundamentals of safe motorcycling instead?
Should you be riding in a heavy rain storm? If you really have to just wear a normal helmet on for those one off occasions you like to go joyride in storms apparently.
@@HDFXSB645 If you know you're going on tour then just use a normal helmet. Don't need two. Not that difficult and cross country tours isn't something that happens often enough that having to use a regular helmet for such an event is that inconvenient. Even so how does a cross country tour excuse being out in heavy rain or a storm. Something like that means you're staying in Hotels or Airbnb anyway so wouldn't a normal person just wait out the storm first before continuing. So logically you wouldn't need 2 helmets or just a regular helmet. Just wait the extra night or two if a heavy storm happens to happen on the cross country tour you happen to take. There senerios are really just picking at slim what ifs which is silly to base a point on.
I love gadgets and I really like the looks and functionality here. But a heavy helmet is not as safe as a light one, neck injuries are more likely to occur when the weight goes up.
@@tatecraft1361 Never tried CF, but the lighter the better in my opinion. I got a thick skull and an old Arai 1400 gram helmet, maybe I should consider CF as well. I was once told that CF was a bit dangerous (at least when they first came out) so I opted for a normal one.
4:43 That helmet looks so big it reminds me of the one from space balls. The only people that will buy these are probably the same people that buy the newest $2000 iPhone. You know the type I'm talking about
Until HUD progresses to AR goggles/Visors with negligible latency for image overlay from sensors such as IR, optical enhancement.... Imagine when riding at night and looking slightly beyond the limitations of the headlight and being able to see outline details of objects overlaid onto the natural optical image to give the rider an indication of the environment beyond the illuminated area, thanks to lidar scanners fitted to the helmet. Along with IR cameras for seeing in 0 viability situations, such as fire smoke, thick fog, headlight failure, blinded by oncoming traffic, exterior surface of goggle/visor covered in mud/bug/oil/etc.
The front and rear cameras might be useful if they store video, and there may be a place for the gps. Beyond that, I agree that one reason we ride is to get away from too much tech, so we can enjoy nature and the ride.
@@2peter1v2 Yes and no. I'm sure options can be toggled.. assuming the helmet reaches production. We won't see this tech for atleast 5 years, then will your bike manufacturer let you toggle into their system..
Hmm, been riding fine ,for 48 yrs, no abs, no traction control, no cell phone, no blue tooth, no cameras, no distractions. Guess I'll just enjoy the ride.
I won't buy any helmet with a removable chin bar I won't even buy a modular helmet. I like the idea of the brake light front light and indicators but how would that work with the bike it would need a connection to the bike itself. I like the Bluetooth, speaker and mic and the heads up display and camera but needs to be front and rear facing with 140° lens.
no modern bike can have its lights turned off nowadays.... lighting on helmets makes no sense to me. camera is nice, HUD for gps navigation is something I dream of at a reasonable price. a comms short range system would be really nice as well.
Hey T. L Thanks for watching ..I'm not sure of all the prices as some are not available yet ....the Cross helmet is around 1200 USD if that helps Keep on Keepin On T. L Bobbymax.🏍
To advance for its time! Gonna cost $3k+. The best Shoei is already $900 just for the shell. The best comm system is $300+. Nobody’s realistically gonna spend that much on a lid
The ECE Moto Helmet safety standards change for 2022. These don't look like they'll pass the new test. How much will this weigh with all the added tech, lights and batteries ?
Well damn ! Just add all the tech ya can and ……… you will kill the simple deep pleasure of riding a decent straight forward motorcycle. Riding is NOT about the tech. Don’t go there. Unless you wanna just sit in your garage and play with a computer with a seat and two wheels.
Everything sound great and MAYBE to much? I enjoy the sound of my engine being my music. But that is up to each person! What will be the cost? And most people will (should) replace their helmets every three to five years. So let say you are the gadget type willing to spend $3k for a helmet. Is it worth paying $1k a year for this? On the other hand if it save your life one or many times it is worth it.
I won't ride without a helmet... but I ride in large part with my phone turned off and to get away from all the demands of life. This helmet is neat technology, but I'd quit riding and stay on a bicycle before using one of these.
WOW, it only needs hyperthrust and Norman Tuttle to count down 5-1. I always wanted to be streethawk as a kid. Can't wait till these come out😁 The man, the machine, streethawk.👍
The only problem that commonly plagues helmets like these, is the impact testing. All the extra hardware in the shell can pose safety risks if it's driven through the shell into your head
Helmets should be meant to save your scalp skull and head it shouldn't have the lights if and Trance electro music concert lights the more lights and fancy stuff it had the more fragile it is doesn't matter DOT certified or bot certified
There was a movie in the early 80'S called Time Rider where a Baja motorcycle racer goes back in time to the old west. I remember he had a helmet like this, 40 years later it's finally become reality!
I ride a bike to get away from the world not to stay connected to every inane comment or notification. Like the idea of added illumination though. My only helmet criteria is that the bloody thing fits. Unfortunately due to having a 5XL head (yeah, not a typo) I have virtually no choice. (i have no idea why my noggin is so big; it's not as if there is anything useful inside it....)
Before you start talking about how awesome the helmet is...... you might want to spell Siri correctly and not Sire🤣😂🤣😂 Also this looks like marketing ploy to grab cash from people that really don't ride. I'll just stick with tried and true brands like Shoei
If it's rear view camera saves me from being rear ended... I'd say worth every penny. Improved situational awareness, of you're clever enough to filter the info inputs.
These helmets really move modern tech helmets onwards. I'd really like to see manufacturers concentrate on noise cancelling to reduce wind roar. That would make riding so much more pleasurable.
I wear earplugs inside my helmet. I don't need to be on the phone or listening to music while riding. There's too many morons on the road, I don't need to be distracted
For those who ride motorcycles on a daily basis , they don't need a helmet like that, it's definitely distracting to have so many options. I only like to have the rear camera and Bluetooth.
I love it. Make it competitive to a good helmet price and DOT cert and you will sell them well. My new HJC 90S Carbon was 450.00 shipped. The best helmet so far for me. Make them smart and same quality as the HJC and you have a customer !!!!!!!
Anybody else having trouble understanding this guys extreme accent high-to-low pitch changes? Can't even make out name of the 3rd helmet... although, if you wait long enough, it's briefly flashed at the very end of the segment.
HTF can a rider push buttons on his head-BLINDLY, while riding? ALL HELMETS FUNCTIONS SHOULD BE VOICE ACTIVATED - NOT REQUIRING THE BIKER TO TAKE HIS HANDS OFF THE BARS TO BE MUCKING AROUND MASHING THE WRONG BUTTONS HE CAN'T EVEN SEE. No thanks, I'll pull over if I need to use my phone for directions or make a call or look up bits on XNXX.... HEY, DO THESE THINGS PLAY VIDEO THEN?

ok so..... normal helmet. Add bluetooth £30. Add some LEDs £15. Job done......... helmets for the very wealthy who can affords waste money on nothing really.
Give me a good ergonomic, quality, sturdy, comfortable and good protection helmet. This is all but deviation from that. Here in my country there is a long time awareness being made not to speak in your phone while riding. I don't know about all these call facilities looks like they are just backtracking from the safety awareness they recommend just to sell something and make money. Motor bike's console is getting so good these days and why do I need a repetitive of same information in my helmet which acts just as distraction. I'm just driving a commercial bike not an F35 during war time.
These are ridiculous! Only 10lb helmet! Hahaha we don't want all this HUD... riding everyday, you have a difficult enough time scanning the terrible drivers in traffic. I like how they didn't say the weight on any helmet
When it comes to a full face helmet, in addition to their impact protection, they should all come with the following as regulation standard; - Inner retractable sun visor - Anti fog shield - A 'neck' cushion around the opening to cut down on wind noise - Ear cushions to further reduce noise and provide comfort - Vents that can be open/closed to control airflow through the helmet All of which is a matter of safety. The sun visor and anti fog shield work to ensure you are able to see the road in front of you with the sun visor also protecting your eyes from direct sunlight. The specific cushions mentioned work to block noise to protect hearing. The vents ensure you don't overheat when wearing the helmet on a hot summer day. Begin with the above, then add the electronics.
Super dum. When you cant touch a phone and probably not suppose to use inforainment systems while driving. Anyone who knows how to ride would probably only want one for long rides with the family in your phone in your head. Dvd player with handbrake wire detached hehe 90s
Love the front light, rear light and indicator and built in indicator - thats a game changer. HUD looks crowded though. all you need is speed. the rest is gimmicky
It is a cool gadget but not something I would wear, I commute on a motorbike daily and have been for the last 10 years. The less you have distracting you the safer you will be also, the extra weight would be uncomfortable. I'd be interested to see how these do at actually protecting your head in a crash, seeing as that is its main function.
All these safety measures don't mean s*** out on the road. Not until cagers put their phones down and become fully aware and mindful of us. I won't rely on anything or anyone to keep me alive, just myself.
X1 cross helmet , Don't buy it . For one thing it's not worth$ 1000+ and the Volume is terrible, can see with the heads up display at night and there is no support .
Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see much of anything in regards to actual safety ratings.... After all, the core purpose of a helmet is to protect in a crash. I don't much care about anything else in terms of priorities.
Hey Michael First of all thanks for watching the review and your comment. I see alot of people turn them into hanging baskets. But yes you are right we do need to recycle more Stay upright mate BobbyMax
Hey jyxser your completely right i wish they would get them to matket sooner ... iThink thee only 2 you can actually biy are the cross and the Jarvish. What helmet you got?
@@redwolfexr Really, All my friends and I do. After about 5 years the glues holding the helmet together start breaking down. My past helmet have all been top of the line Arai and Shoei helmets.
