​@@mattb6646 The thing is, while we understand the science of it we seem to have forgotten the insinctual part of it. It's not that we know more. It's that we know something different. The amount of people I've seen run across ice while forgetting that 2 legs means even more weight on one area, only to go straight into freezing water is actually insane. We might be smart but it seems that as we learn more advanced knowledge we tend to forget the basics

@@VitaeLibra that’s a great comment it’s cause and effect the further we get from hunter gatherer the more comfortable we get with supermarkets the more instincts are disappearing it’s a bit scary because we will need them again someday there are events that will force us to go backwards even if ultimately we make it to flying cars and star trek we will have major set backs as a species

Considering they swim very well underwear for long distances & pop up from under ice regularly is the reason. It had no reason to do this. It can overpower the ice from above and below.
