It is amazing how in less than three minutes, you give understanding of networking devices an IT professional could make it clear. If there was a RU-vid highest videos networking list about networking devices, no doubt you should be No1. Than you for your teaching!!!
Have bought this for my mother for Christmas. She has MS and is 75 and has a hard time walking. Now if she has to call an ambulance, or someone comes to the door ( they were usually gone by the time she could walk there) she can see who it is through her ring doorbell and tell them to come in after telling her front door to unlock through her echo. I hope she likes it.
I just got that Gateway G2. I have a Sifely smart lock installed and work properly. The problem is I can't get the right Gateway G2 app in app store. Mostly all Gateway app not working. Any idea?
So I have a routine set up via Google Home, I remember to lock the door when I leave, but as a safety measure, I have the routine set to a custom command that states “lock this door” for example. Unfortunately, it’s set to when I’m already gone, so when it runs - google home asks for my pin via my hubs at home. If no response, it doesn’t run. I’ve tried to have it prompt me on my phone (iphone), but I haven’t figured it out yet. Is there a way to have it auto-input the pin so it no longer asks? I have a TTLock, with remote access enabled + this gateway.
Pretty useless video. Does not explain how the whole setup works. Can you connect to your smart lock/door knob with your phone from anywhere? The bluetooth door knob has to be 10m or less from the gateway I believe so there are limits to what can be connected where. I may be wrong, it should have been explained here.
