Hi, Seriously. There's no right or wrong way to dress a Burger, or a Smashburger. You do your way. It looks Delicious! Thanks for sharing. I'm so glad I found your channel. I didn't think I was going to like my Ninja Speedi until I found your channel. Thank You for all of your recipes and ideas!!
Hi James, this is my first time commenting on your videos. I really enjoy watching you also because you remind me of a friend childhood friend, who just left this earth, it saddens me so I love to see you and it brings back old memories. Thank you James for your videos.

Browning the bun… genius! What can’t this Speedi do?😃 No preference on building a burger for me… only change up on mine would be to add a few hamburger dill’s. My mouth is watering… again. Great cook James… Thanks
All good but husband likes his the way you do. First one 😊 Only difference is, no mayonnaise. Mustard on bottom, the layers and then, of course, a dash of salt and pepper, then the ketchup. (Love your videos, especially the how to bake a cake in just the Speedi, no pan).
. Brother James , I was a little disappointed you didn't put some delicious saute chop onions on top of that masterly cook smash burger before the great American cheese. Is OK you still the man.
Mmmmmmm, Another great video James. That's why they call it toppings, the condiments go on the top, LOL. But I guess it really doesn't matter. Keep these videos coming.
been trying to convince myself I need a press and you have shown yep I do. As for making the bugers, who the freak cares cause when you bite that burger its all messed up anyways lol when you swallow and it hits the tummy. Great vid, ty :)
James-appreciate your recipes so much! Have you put together a book with recipes? I love to watch your videos, but I need the print in front of me with “just the facts”. 😊 I have old timers memory 😂.
Great video! I enjoy watching all of your vids. I agree that it is a personal thing. We don’t do the ketchup thing, just mayo or mustard, or mayo on one bun and mustard on the other. I have always put the lettuce between the bun and tomato. This keeps the bun from getting soggy.
I've always....mayo on top and bottom bun, then lettuce then the burger with cheese. Next would be tomato and pickles. Then a squirt of ketchup and mustard on top. Place top bun on top and dig in!!
If going with bottom - you do diced onions on the bottom, pickles on top of that, then your patty, lettuce and tomato would go on top of the burger. Keep in mind - smash burger doesn't matter top or bottom because you don't have all the grease running out of it like a regular burger. Professionals will make it like you do with everything on top (not a smash burger - regular burger) and then serve with the burger upside down so that the juices don't destroy the bottom bun. Lettuce - I would not serve as a whole slice - but if you have good choppers (teeth) that can chew the meat and lettuce easily, no worries but serving guests, I will serve chopped. Nothing more aggravating than serving someone a burger and a whole lettuce leaf comes flying out of their face and they are having to tear it up and put it back on the burger or worse, just toss it aside. When restaurants pull that crap on me (somehow they equate one whole leaf as "gourmet") I take the whole leaf off and trash it. Sad, but true. No matter how you make the burger, it's your burger - make it the way you want. Be conscious if you are serving a greasy burger or not and serve and be aware if you serve whole leaf lettuce that people have good choppers.
Its down to personal preference isn't it? For me personally, I like the ketchup next to the burger/cheese, so the 2nd option would be my choice. There isn't a right or wrong way, it's your gig, you do you. Love your videos!
I THINK I assemble it the first way you did it, but there's no right or wrong way. I've never actually thought about it, so I'm honestly not sure. But weren't both burgers exactly the same if you just flip one over? I don't obviously care enough to rewatch the video to see, but good grief people, Jesus won't stop someone at the pearly gates because of the way they made a burger! 🙄 Some people just love to bully others because they're miserable. They're the same people who get way too dramatic over the way people hang up a roll of toilet paper. 😂 Thanks for another great video. I'm definitely going to try this, but I'm new to my Speedi, so if I cooked up some bacon first in order to cook my burgers in the bacon grease afterwards, what setting would I use to cook up the bacon?
Put it together anyway you like it. Seem silly to me that anyone would comment that u dont dress it right! It is all personal preferance, there is no right or wrong! Gezzzzzzz lol! thank you James
If you have to remember which way to put your toppings on, you are doing it wrong! I am usually so hungry from smelling the burgers I layer them the fastest way possible!
The way to build a hamburger is the way YOU like it. What kind of world do we live in now where Total strangers get to dictate how you eat your own food? Good grief people. 🤦🏼♀️😒
