@@kieran163 My "journey" with Virginia Woolf also started with Mrs Dalloway, so it will probably always be my favourite for sentimental reasons, but I think that her best book is The Waves, such a masterpiece. Having said that I love everything she writes 😝

And at 10:35, when Emma asks if there are any women in the presentation. Then Carolyn says "Should I?" and Emma does that "Yep" gesture to the camera. Hilarious.

What I conclude: Carolyn likes the typical masculine look (symmetrical features, hard , distinct jawline). Emma likes the quirky, brooding look. ( think Bruce Springsteen versus Elvis Costello) Also, to be fair, you should have used younger photos for the older authors.

Tolkien might not be hot but he had the idea for Beren and Luthien based on his wife and himself and I think that's just so beautiful. And Murakami is definitely a pass even though he loves the Beatles like me and his favourite song is also my favourite song 😂 Great taste, Carolyn!

Homer was most likely female, given the detailed knowledge of weaving and the dearth of information about sailing and war found in The Odyssey, for example. That's a contemporary analysis and it makes good sense. Look at a picture of older Tolstoy. Terrifying.
