If you're already up the tree to the point where you have the tech tree F-40, just get a talisman on the tech tree one. Much more cost effective in my opinion. Or even the F-30.

One of my first premiums, so the JASDF Sabre will always be good to me. It also slapped, until the Aim 9Ls, R-60Ms, SRAAMs, and Matras arrived at the black hole that is 9.7.

A29B and J29A arent that terrible to be honest. Straight line speed isnt half bad and quite often you get to face typical players in Me262A and similar planes. It surely cant win a 1 v 5, but when the enemy is occupied, it's a pretty fun plane

Glad to see you cover it, even if it's not THE most amazing thing. The minor tech trees really only have so many viable options and it's nice to get an instructional/tutorial from you.

I got the F-40 years ago and it was how I learned how to be more situationally aware of my surroundings. That and it is still a blast to use. Not amazing but it's mostly certainly a good way to learn how to fly Jet fighters. It's also funny to donk on Super sonic jets that undermine you. Due to there expectation of you performing horribly compared to them.

I always find it so much fun to fly a Sabre 9.0 and above. It's hilarious how the entire enemy team starts foaming at the mouth when they see you and focus you to the point that your entire team picks them off.

I will never understand why the hell the sabers are so high in br.... it makes no sense. All sabers need to have their brs adjusted.

Any plane between 8.3 to 9.7 with no flares is basically a free kill for the A4N. They buffed the Shafrir 2s and you can carry 2 aim9Ds with 2 Shafrirs now

This bad boy is an absolute beast in SIM, at 9.3 it shreds everything it fights besides the F5, but that has a cheaty afterburner so whatever. Consistently would go 15-20 kills for a only a handful of deaths from, at the time, AV8's that long lanced me when I wasn't checking 6 enough. Pretty much nothing else in the sky would touch me since it was top dog for teir 6. Im not sure if it is still 9.3, I havn't opened Warthunder in half a year now.

So I think there's 1 thing missing from this, I know it's all your opinion and that's totally cool that's what I come here for but... this plane has one unique advantage: it is one of the two premium Sabres. If you want to learn to fly a Sabre AND you want to be able to fuck up, you can't really do that with the tech tree one because of the SL cost of death--- 17k vs. 4k (and the agonizing stock grind). All you need to do in the JASDF is land 1 missile kill in a match (or paste about 5 ground targets, worse comes to worse) to wind up making 5k-10k at the end no matter how well you do otherwise. That's it and you're golden to experiment with the plane: learn to keep that speed up at all times, pull stupid turns, go too slow, or too fast, hose ammo into the air hopelessly, jump in your seat when you suddenly pop from an enemy missile, really get a feel for early Jet-age combat as represented in War Thunder. For that freedom to make mistakes I can't thank the JASDF enough. And it doesn't look like Trump puked the paint job onto the plane either. edit: the payout for killing the AI fighters is actually pretty great, the one you killed was worth 5.5k from the kill + the crit, 11k for 2 if you selfishly waste your missiles.

Definetly not the best premium in comparison to same br prems. However if you master it and get a bit lucky not to go against su25-s all the time its a beast. I grinded up to the phantoms in like 2 weeks from 3.7 ( first few days were pretty bad as i didnt exactly knew how to play it. Also mind you this was when it was still 9.3 )

Japan needs some more attention to be honest. There isnt a lot of premiums for it, or any other jets. Yes there is, but its just a small nation in my opinion

This is a copy plane too; but my biggest problem is that the only unique jet worthy to unlock is the F-1 in the tech-tree.

F-40 can outturn cl13 cuz of the weaker enginge which gives it advantige int air Rb, games are short enough + 3rd party that u cant take advantage of that stronger engine

Defyn, I thought you'd like this story. Yesterday, I flew out the French P-40, and someone asked how I liked it and how to fly it. Having bought it like a year ago and flying it all of 3 times, I told him he'd be better off going to look up a Defyn video as I knew very little about the P-40, both the American and French versions. These other 2 idiots start talking shit about you in the comments section. I assumed they found themselves starring in one of your videos at one point or another. Anyways, guess who were one of the first ones to get killed? Thats right, the same 2 idiots talking shit. Hahaha. I ended up getting 2 kills and an assist before dying myself, but I just thought it was funny. If I remember it, I'll have to go record the replay.

Defyn, i have a suggestion for you : play the Super Mystere B2, it is surprisingly efficient ! Like many jets, it suffers when facing uptiered, but when downtiered, it really is a monster ! And the two Nords are really fun to play !

I've never flown a saber but wanted a jet to grind the tree. So glad I listened to you and bought it. You can full send this thing so we'll and it's just absolutely fun as hell gameplay. Sure you get shit matches still but almost nothing compares to the fun this thing gives from a good one.

I don't like being in prop planes at 8.7, 9.0, that kinda range, but I know that someone that I was playing with yesterday did it to force a nation to be on his side for the matchmaker, because that nation had a plane that could hard counter him. He did actually end up getting a kill at 8.7 in a J6B, so he did do better than half our lobby. Edit: He killed a MiG-21
