I really love the idea of taping together 2 large scrap pieces with some washi tape to make an entire card front! I’ve never seen that or thought of it and I think it will help me make better use of my scraps! I struggle with how to use those larger scraps on the side of my cards, so this was really cool to see!!!
I Love nautical paper! I know what you mean about using paper in consecutive years. As much as I liked it when I buy them, I get weary of it. I've also been stuck on cards. So, I answer my kitties' call to scratch their tummies and take a break.
I recently needed a cream colored base card and didn't have any. What I did have was a linen type paper in cream and I glued it over the white base card. Came out beautiful.
I don't have success with those liquid drops, either, for the same reason. I learned from Tina Zinck to use clear packing on stamped images, colored cardstock, or even small print paper to make my bling. Works great on boys cards. I also use glitter paper to punch out letters, words and number die cuts, stars, party confetti, small hearts and circles, etc or small diecuts. Great way to add shine without making a mess or adding any real thickness.😊
So glad you had a few prerecorded, Sarah! We didn’t see your fur babies, but we heard the fat kitty and you talked about Wilson and the fat kitty (presumably Parker) in this one.
😢 Parker did talk in this one a bit. She never really meowed...just quick sassy sounds her whole life..."meh"😄 Oh, what I wouldn't give to hear Wilson sing. He was not a singing breed, but he tried. 💙💙💙💙💙
Have fun! I go crazy on the patriotic cards! This year I had so much fun with the red white and blue from Not2Shabby. I thought about making more patriotic cards this weekend, it decided I should write in and address some of the ones I already made. 🤣 I really prefer MAKING them. 😂💙💙💙
I'm totally like you when it comes to layering. The more the better to me lol 😁. But I also agree that it can get carried away sometimes. And my atg is probably one tool that I could not live without when it comes to craft supplies. It's like my right arm!! I really loved watching this card process video. I really need to get back to using up my 6x6 pads as well. All of your cards turned out so beautiful!
Sarah awesome process video ! I saved this to my inspiration file . I learned so much today from you , now I really need to make some cards . Hugs & Moochies my sweet friend 🤗🤗💋💋
Oh my gosh, I had forgotten about her assistance in this video. I went back and listened today. 😊 She was actually gone by the time this video went live. What a terribly rough month that was. 💙💙💙 I consider it a blessing that she gave me her opinions and complaints while I was recording this. 😂 😊 Happy New Year! 💙
Sarah, what great cards. I am in awe that you can make so many cards and can see the possibilities in one small pad -- great job -- and that they are all different. That to me is important. Other than our Christmas cards, it's very rare that I make the same card twice. 😊.
Sarah I was totally fascinated by this video! The cards are beautiful but seeing your process was what truely got my attention. Our processes are so different. I am trying to finish off a patriotic pad now, I plan out what I want to do and make mini card kits. I truly appreciate the way you fly through the pad! Hugs!!
Big hugs my sweet friend, love your attitude!! Use what we have!! You definitely have a favorite color!! I learned to love blue too in the joyofbluecollab collab. Great tip!! Big hugs, you are in my heart. ♥️♥️♥️
@@CraftingandRelaxing Hi Sarah. Most definitely. I think of you daily. When I watched your very sad video on Sunday I cried so much that my Jack Russell and Beagle came to me and were licking my tears. You are definitely loved my dear friend and even though we have never met in person, you have a special place in my heart. Big hugs and loads of love to you & Mr C&R (who might not make an appearance but his name is in the credits 😊) 💙🤗💙🤗💙🤗
Find three or 4 sheets that go well together and then head over to Crafty Al’s channel and pick one of Alicia’s sheet load of cards that you like. That will give you a handful of cards and ease you into coordinating some of your papers together - but only a few at a time!
@@rhondita95 thanks Rhonda. I am a patreon of CraftyAl, so I have access to all her Sheetloads. I like your ide of getting sheets that go together to start with. Thanks again. Mary
@@marycollier1293 so then you know Mary that they only have t look good together and not actually ‘go together.’ Usually a couple of sheets with the same palette and another one with a nice contrast and you are good to go!
