When you take the moderately reprehensible behavior of Zero 6 years ago and use it to project an image of him as a person in 2020, you are doing a disservice to both ethics and truth. You don't know him personally, and the people who knew him personally 6 years ago don't know who he is now. So these vicious attacks are really baseless. But it's also super immoral to judge someone by their past when the worst thing they did was make someone uncomfortable-again, not defending him, nor am I being an apologist. Cancel culture tends to put all people who have done something bad or are bad people in a box. The box says Hitler. The "hyperbolic"-as you might call it-characterization of reprehensible people as extremely evil and morally equivalent to Hitler is just so verifiably false it's not even funny. Even cyberbullying Hitler is morally questionable. So what irks me so much is how much animosity there is in the community. It's no longer about creating a wholesome community, it's about reminding anyone who's made a mistake that they're evil and worthless and can never regain any sort of normal social status. Fuck, it's even worse than that sometimes, especially with the D1 situation. The security guard who was there when the two walked off and MAYBE fucked said resolutely that the girl kept insisting "I'm 18 I can do what I want" and physically pulling D1 to go with her even after people tried to stop her. So my point is that Zero isn't likely a bad person, and even if he is, he is undeserving of his current situation. We live in a world where depression and more specifically suicide are prevalent issues, and we say that we need to take care of vulnerable people in our communities, but that includes people like Zero and even Nairo. Cancel culture won't deter people from making mistakes, because mistakes are a fact of life. And with the existence of cancel culture, no one will even be willing to own up to their mistakes and start improving as people. The smash community attacks people for being vulnerable. It doesn't matter how united the community is against pedophilia or evil, because until you all step off of your moral pedestals, you won't truly be able to call the community a force of progression and of good.

@@smoov22_sonic Frame 6 out of shield option that deals 16%, frame 6 command grab which can kill, Spacing move that can deal 40%, very fast for a heavyweight on all accounts, Giant F-air hitbox for edgeguarding, immune to rapid jabs, lives forever, invincible Up Smash. Stop focusing on the negatives and just accept Bowser is a viable character. Kirby, Robin, Zelda, the Belmonts, Lucas, Bayonetta, Donkey Kong and such aren't capable of doing the same things Bowser just did.

Ness in Pajamas I get your point, but saying “don’t focus on the negatives” is simply incorrect. If we don’t focus on the negatives, then basically little mac is amazing. And bowser is big and heavy, which means he is combo food, which is already bad enough since all top tiers have solid ko options off stage and onstage, and his recovery is extremely predictable and linear which makes it relatively easy to edgeguard, especially for characters with counters. Don’t get me wrong, i do believe that most characters above low mid tier are viable one way or another, but all things considered there are too many characters that do well against bowser, or have greater strengths than bowser for him to be “viable” on paper. Leon’s just a monster

Mgrb024 nah if you look at the positives Ness in Pajamas named then there‘s no way Bowser is below high tier. People are heavily exaggerating his weaknesses like his disadvantage to the point where they‘re like „I can combo and edgeguard him, I win this MU“. You said that there are too many characters doing well vs Bowser but I‘m sure most of those aren‘t as good in reality as people think, they just think they win because of their biased they have developed against heavies from years of heavies sucking in Smash. Bowser has insane tools, Bowser is most definitely high tier and on top of that LeoN is also fucking insane

He only deserves attention if he used a character that takes skill

Leon actually has 3 stocked Samsora at smash n splash 5. He did lose the set, but between Dabuz, Samsora, and Cosmos, he's got a good thing going.

Get him offstage and counter his recovery works. Also don't pick triplats because that grab is dangerous

Bowser is basically a spacing check with how strong his grabs and up B OoS are. Sword characters with good spacing, projectiles and good edge guarding (Peach turnips...)

I'm a bowser main. I got wrecked by a Lucina once just from counters off stage

@@TheErolind literally this, counters are not fun to play against in any matchup, but especially bowser where you get comboed from counter to counter.

Angel Ramirez-Tellez no no no. The grab is going to kill you anywhere on any stage. Obviously earlier on platforms, but plats offer more combo potential against bowser in some match ups. Just because you play Lucina and can just counter bowsers up b doesn’t mean every character can. That’s also a horrible and unreliable way to deal with the match up. I just won’t let you take me off stage if that’s the case. Properly spaced moves and true combos are the best way to deal with bowser. So essentially any top tier at all. Doesn’t matter how hard bowser hits if you don’t get hit to start with.

id say on paper olimar easily wins, but the way bowser is able to quickly swing momentum and get early kills synergizes really well with leon’s patience and ability to get hard reads
