Obviously Anonymous bowsers combo food but the only real early kill zss can get is flipkick spike confirms and she dies early while bowser lives long

He will always live late and that's just something you have to deal with, ZSS just is good against bowser because of her movement and combos against bowser, obviously leon is super good but its not like the only thing ZSS has against bowser is flipkick

I main bowser.. and the fact that this guy isn’t abusing the side B off the stage, fire-breath stuff and complete lack of down tilt and up tilt. They are absent from his play style. Really shows you how much adapting, reading, and mind games this guy is putting in on his play style. And it’s not something you can usually pick up from watching play- it’s more of a thing where you have to actually play him to understand.. he’s beat so many top names now it’s crazy.

It pretty much is. There are barely any dittoes in top play. The only character I can think of is Wario with Glutony, Tweek, and Kameme. And sort of Joker with Leo, Zachray and I think Nairo has one too.

The patience from Leon tho, my god! Marss was definitely playing on point this set, and used just about every single option ZSS has, but Leon just waited for his openings. He definitely deserves his spot on the PGR

I'm a bowser main and I think patience is something you need with bowser. He will get comboed a lot but if your head is in the game you're fine. Some people would start losing it if they got comboed all the time

As a ZSS main, this matchup isn't even. Leon is just a fucking god. Probably 60-40 ZSS or 55-45 if you're being super conservative. I think if Marss dialed it back more and played more poke/defensive it would of been a lot harder on Leon.

Leon has a complete lack of Down Tilt, and Up Tilt in his play style.. which is weird because uptilt can actually kill at a point. And downtilt is a really good follow up to opponents missing techs or simply as a poking tool. Down Tilt even 2-frames.

F tilt 2 frames and kills at 80 why would you use down tilt. Why poke with down tilt when you can fair? Why use down tilt to cover missed tech when you can do jab lock down b or down smash and either do 50% or kill at 70? Up tilt is also super unsafe, but it can cover tech on plat but there was a lot of kalos in this set so that’s irrelevant.

ZSS’s up special kills way too early... Bowser is too heavy for it to kill like that. It’s too reliable out of shield too. Hoping it gets nerfed in the next patch.

@@greenweezing237 patching allows the game and meta to be more living and organic, as it allows for the balancing and alteration of how people play. Marss, as an example of probably the best ZSS in smash right now, gets most of stocks with either with back air or Up B against top level players. In my opinion, it's dull and boring watching this type of play. Especially in comparison to LeoN's kill set ups, which can be fishing for the command grab, but also sets up with nair to bair and f-tilt at ledge. idk it's just my opinion tho

the grounded one is strong but the aerial one is quite weak. What you also miss is how mars refuses to punish people OOS at lower %s to lull people into thinking they can hit her shield safely. At the end of the day if he whiffs that move when going for a punish he very likely loses his stock for it. IMO, the move is fine as is as a high risk high reward quick OOS option.
