Mega Buster alone has more nuance and a higher skill ceiling than several characters on the roster. This character is about as tough as it gets to really play well.
@@Eldoofus The fact that Rock’s pellets are so intricate that they are harder than fighters with entire movesets, and yet people probably don’t understand how hard he is.
I am somebody whose retired from smash, but I still throughly enjoy watching “how to” videos on my favorite characters. I remember on 3DS I used to be able to do the cool diagonal down metal blade combo into up tilt combo, now I’ve lost all my sauce lmaoo
Surprised you didn't cover pivot cancelling with lemons. If any of you feel the need to dash away to reset neutral instead of retreating with NAir, just flick the L Stick back then the C Stick one frame later to instantly turn around and jab. If you use A button only you can slide further as you turn around if more space is needed between you and an approaching enemy. FUN NOTE: You can also cause Rock to shimmy if you walk one direction and tilt the cstick opposite. (I have tilt stick on C)
Your videos always help alot. Can you do crash bomber next? I like to stick ledge with it, against characters with tether recovery, to set up for a spike since its near impossible to spike a tether recovery
Hey man i know this is an old video, hope you see this. I use a pro controller and am having an issue where pellet 1 doesnt come out consistently. Sometimes I can chain short hop pellet 1 several times, other times it just wont come out. Any knowledge on this or know why its happening?
I feel like I need to adjust my whole controller scheme. Any suggestions what’s optimal? I have half the roster in elite but I’m really struggling with Megaman.
Using R for jump helps with a ton of Megan’s tech imo. Allowed me to do pellet and other combos (z-drop gear) Also tilt stick. I have tap jump disabled. Hope this helps you somewhat Edit: Having R for jump also allows for easy two button press short hops. Like x/y with R. You will always short hop
I have tap jump turned off You just press the Jump button (mine X) lightly and release it quickly, then right after you flick your control stick down so you fast fall then rinse n repeat 🔁
@@YUMEGAMAN thanks for responding. I have my controls the same except I jump with B. I have trouble with doing the short hop consistently but even when I do get it the quick drop comes too slow. It’s like I have to pause for a sec and then press down. I’ll keep practicing just not good enough right now I guess lol.
