Delve deep, Miner! Once the Drop Pod releases you into the oppressive darkness, you are on your own. Wouldnt the tinkerer class mod be better for such run? I understand why explosion radius plays a big part, but this 10% multiplier seems more than enough to make up for smaller booms. And you get the warthog right away. And you get a 3 level head start to get those sweet overclocks

The turrets have an unfortunate ability of killing the bosses REALLY fast, which you can avoid with Cryo grenades, did some testing and can get about 10 minutes more run time, which I think works out as more XP. We would have had about 90% more XP gain, but about 20% less time in game. Think it checks just in the demos favour if all else is equal.

@@FswithFarham Oh I think I get now. The demolitionist gives access to explosive weapons, so its the only engie with cryo grenades

Correct yes, in terms of mining assistance, Demo has what I feel are the absolute best when it comes to mining but not killing bosses, where as Tinkerer just has Turrets. I think we're talking the smallest percentages here though and you could well be right and Tinkerer comes out on top he is going to get levels faster earlier and if you get lucky that's a lot of XP snowballing.

@@FswithFarham well, Im gonna try this with tinkerer and see how it plays out :P what is the "perfect artefact availability" though? Do you need to tamper with RNG to be able to do this run?

Thanks man, this was a fun run. Little silly, lots of 50/50 coinflips But better than the counter which would have been 40 hours for perfect RNG. Day job does call to me for at least the day time! :D

I don't think it'd be mild I'd be straight in at the deep end, best I stick to the games with rerolls that don't cost money.

I used the electric boomerang thing and got the pick up, the twirling trajectory, and 2 boomerangs overclock and that completely fulfilled any need to pick up radius or a magnet. Super fun on grenade mining runs.

Yes also a good call, on a practice run I did take the boomerang. Loses all meaning of course about floor 7 when you get to silly pick up, but in normal game play the boomerang is a mighty fine choice.

Mrs. Dwarf has been neglecting me also lately. She does spend an awful lot of time at the tennis club though. Maybe I should stop with the picking flowers thing and switch to gold necklaces and rings?

@@alptugeray Something similar can also be achieved in a less intrusive way by not completing certain achievements (Although you'd still have at least half unlocked I reckon), but yes, to get THIS much luck you'd need 100+ runs, or if time doesn't permit some chopping of the drgs.dat file can save you a a few hours or so...

the amount of gold spent on level rerolls... that could have been burned in a shop with 5 items to reroll... I think theres gotta be math that its way more efficient to reroll the shop the first 5 or so times. So you should probably never go below the 50 gold for rerolls and then gold for upgrads. So something like always have 250 gold going into shop between rounds.

I think so too, but the variable I don't understand is the implicit luck in the shop, never seen a grey card there, so it's almost like you have a +bonus to luck for cards you see. (Making shop rerolls EVEN more valuable) But yah, it takes quite a few shop rerolls (Considering 5 cards) for it to get to 5gold per card seen like a level up reroll costs.

drgs.dat file in C:\Users\[YourUser]\AppData\LocalLow\Funday Games\DRG Survivor in the file is a section called "UnlockedArtifactIds" That has all the GUIDs of all the artifacts. Suggest you backup that folder before you mess about with anything. If you make a mistake it's important to be able to copy it all back.

@@FswithFarham seems that game recognises the recently acquired gold before it is added to the main stash. You spent the gold that was still in the (+X) amount. You couldn't reroll for more gold than actually gathered. interesting nontheless :3

you simply edited game files to get higher drop rate for scanners. its ao obvious and sad.

I didn't increase the drop rate of anything. I turned off a bunch of the achievements. At least get it right when I state it in the video using words what I've done.
