Smashing Pumpkins Cherub Rock I am not claimin any of this music! Everything belongs to the Smashing Pumpkins! Not me! Please do not remove this video! Enjoy
Me and my mom older sister and uncle would play all the time now its me my sister my brother in law and sometimes mom we love getting together and playing rockband its great
Hands down, one of the most defining songs of the 90s and my generation! An era that produced some of the greatest bands and songs in the history of music!!!
Me and my dad spent so much time jamming all types of 90's rock within the last year and a half or so. Smashing Pumpkins, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Pantera, TOOL (our favorite), many more. I haven't been able to listen to this stuff much anymore because it breaks my heart, don't really know how to describe it. But tonight I've opened up and I'm listening to it again. I remember how often we would listen to this and just jam together. He was my best friend. I miss him so much. He died two months ago. I want my jam partner back!!!! Edit: I forgot to mention Alice in Chains. At first the only Alice song I knew really was Man in the Box. But then he showed me Got Me Wrong and Nothin' Song. Nothin' Song is what really kills me. "nothing ever stays the same"....
Manniquinxe: Sorry man...sometimes life fuckin blows but keep plugging on. You know that your Dad would have wanted you to. I hope that you have found another jam partner. Peace!!
I wished I could of rocked with my dad he was way beyond strict, saying rock was evil and was just noise he only let us listen to country or church music.
THANK YOU…I used to work professionally in opera and musical theater. Due to a combo of medical and climate issues and being unable to change my situation, I wasn’t able to continue for 16 years. My soul was dying. After finally being able to change my situation, I started taking non-classical vocal lessons just a couple of months ago as I will never be able to sing that way again…but I NEED to sing. I will be performing with a band at a local venue next month and they want me to sing this song which I’ve never even heard before! THIS VIDEO HAS SAVED ME as far as learning the song goes. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
15 years old my first real concert and they opened with this song. By the first minute several people were crowd surfing and 15 year old me trying the mosh pit. I'll never forget the energy of the crowd. Great to hear live, I saw them again 10 years later.
I as well saw them at 15 years old at Lollapalooza in 94. Pumpkins were the last band to play in a concert that had Green Day, L7, George Clinton and the P Funk, Beastie Boys, A Tribe Called Quest and others. Though Green Day never played as for an injury. We got thrown on stage during Smashing Pumpkins myself and a friend. What a great 1st time concert.
I know they’re on screen but here anyways Freak out And give in Doesn't matter what you believe in Stay cool And be somebody's fool this year 'Cause they know Who is righteous, what is bold So I'm told Who wants honey? As long as there's some money Who wants that honey? Hipsters unite Come align for the big fight to rock for you But beware All those angels with their wings glued on 'Cause deep down They are frightened and they're scared If you don't stare Who wants honey? As long as there's some money Who wants that honey? Let me out Let, let me out Let, let me out Let, let me out Tell me all of your secrets Cannot help but believe this is true Tell me all of your secrets I know, I know, I know Should have listened when I was told Who wants that honey? As long as there's some money Who wants that honey? Let me out Let, let me out Let, let me out Let, let me out
*It seems as though I just clicked and drove into a wall of blasting guitars on this super information interweb highway and it is painlessly wonderful ..*
IMHO this has got to be one of the best ever sounding intro's that just continues to build until finally 22 seconds in the multi-guitar wall of sound slams in... then it just keeps getting better. 'Hipsters Unite' indeed.
Tim stro59 This song was a classic when it came out. But I would guess anything 25+ years old could be considered “Classic” in that sense. Not sure what the industry qualifications would be? But whatever. It was kickass then, and it still kicks a good amount of ass today. 🤘🏻
This album...I grew up in Chicago. Followed the Pumpkins since day 1. I liked Gish. But when this album came out...woah. It was a game changer. One of my favorite albums ever. 25 years later and I’m still blasting this shit haha.
+alonzo campos I'm VERY,VERY open to music of all sorts I listen to bands and artist you probably have never even heard of and I am not stuck in the past, most of the music these days lack substance and most of it is disposable or at least the shit Hollywood is pumping out, there are a FEW underground bands and artist that I like but not many, Face it majority of the music today is CRAP save for a few very underrated artist and bands.
+Shayla Coleman Amen to that bud! Im only 24 but I don't listen to anything new it's recycled uncreative garbage for the most part >:() and don't even get me started on whats being played on the radio these days /puke lol
The guitar in this song is UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME!!!!!! Guitar hero 3 introduced this awesome song to me and i love this so much!! Classic guitar at its best!!
For those who don’t know “let me out” is phrasing Kurt wanted out of the relationship with Courtney which billy (lead of pumpkins) has also dated, a lot of this album is how corrupt Courtney is and how she had something to do with Kurts death
That solo is sick as fuck. Just learned it on guitar. It’s not complex. But man does it cut. Love the overdriven distortion and fuzz. Got this album the first day it was released back when life for me was one big happy blur. One of the few albums that kick ass from beginning to end. I’m glad 3/4 of the band is back together again. Hopefully they’ll go back to sonically driven guitar rock🤘🏻
+The Reverend Plays You can be one of the greatest without shredding up and down scales. Billy is one of the greatest just for writing some of most kickass riffs.
Well said..my friend..especially weed and crack cocaine..however I must say that crystal meth in small doses does some wonderful things for the mind & body😇👽..just saying...
About signing millions dollar c9ntracts for deliver songs like or u dont like .or u die .u got paid for (contract manipulator ) honey for money .tha gold
My dad used to play bioshock when it was new and he used to play a lot of songs from the 90s 80s era and this one is now forever a song I link to that game
I Love This Song This Is One Of My Favorite Smashing Pumpkins Songs Along With 1979, Bullet With Butterfly Wings, Today, Zero, Shame, Perfect & Hummer Which All Of Those Song's Are Awesome.
Don't know about the Cherub part. All I do know is, this is ROCK. Young bands take note. Turn it loose at just the right moment. If you don't know when that moment is, you're not playing rock.
+IceCoLDMK 03 lol i imagined it always as a pumpkin getting smashed by a foot thats wearing dark blue converse high tops on halloween, with a dark grey sky and dead tree in the background(yes thought of this a lot lolol)
That time you finally see lyrics of a fav song, but never thought about looking them up.....even when the song predates RU-vid, and never owned the CD.
It's 2015, so therefore music has no deadline. If music had a deadline you'd never be able to listen to anything from the 50's and up. So screw off haters who say "music has an expiration date".

To me this song is about the illuminate...how the music industry is corrupted and these "angels with their wings glued on" meaning the artist we see are being controlled. By who? We don't know! But they are everywhere.
Interesting Theory I had always thought it had something to do with the music industry as a whole. Whereas you sell everything about you to make that money but you forget about the passion and the love that made you want to do it in the first place which to me is the honey. But the record labels don't care about the honey they just want the bottom line. It's very poetic.
@Slum Lord i don't remember seeing that episode. I think it's just the same point in my life that i started watching the simpsons and my mom introduced me to the band lol
