The fact we have Mothra and Rodan, but not Anguirus feels like a crime. Anguirus is Godzilla's right hand guy. And yeah, I know they only purchased the rights to Toho's 'Big Five', and some people claim Shimo is like a nod to both Anguirus and Space Godzilla, it still doesn't feel right. The Showa era had such a wide, colorful variety of kaiju.. but to leave out Anguirus.. imagine a team of Godzilla, Kong, Anguirus, Mothra, Rodan, King Ceasar, Titanosaurus, Ebirah, and Baragon, taking on King Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla. I know conception wise, it wouldn't make sense in the MV, but imagine a Showa team taking on iconic Showa villains.
I think it's safe to say, a Monsterverse version of Godzilla vs Destoroyah would be an absolute amazing and emotional monster movie. I'm so excited to see what Wingard does with this franchise.
We knew mothra layed an egg in china at the end of kotm, that egg probably hatched without any witness between 2019-2026, and travelled to the hollow earth and cocooned herself there, here cocoon was probably invisible because of biological camouflage
Some ideas that I would love to see in future MonsterVerse entries would be, A story set in the past showing early civilizations and the titans coexisting. Possibly exploring certain plot points such as the titan war or Ghidorah arriving on Earth. A sequel about Kong being the leader of the ape tribe. Showing how the tribe benefited from his rule and further exploring ideas such as Kong being the adoptive father of Suko and the tribe's alliance with Shimo. An alien invasion plot, since they've made various references to alien life throughout the series (even having a reference to Planet X in GxK). They could potentially use this as an opportunity to further explore Ghidorah's extraterrestrial origins. Plus I would really like to see Gigan in the MonsterVerse. A Mothra film (the Queen needs more love).
I think any of the dinosaur-esque ones would be great and easy to work into the Monsterverse, like Anguirus and Baragon. Also based on the design of Shimo and the crystalline structures of Hollow Earth, I could see a Space Godzilla inspired design. Not necessarily the same space origins, but evocative of SpaceG.
I would love to Gigan in the Monsterverse. We need more extraterrestrials in the Monsterverse. Ghidorah feels so out of place because he’s the only alien in the Monsterverse. But they should save Destroyah for the finale of the Monsterverse. They should do Gigan then Biollante and then Destroyah. If they do a destroy all monsters they should every single Kaiju in the Monsterverse team up and kill Destroyah.
I want a scene of Godzilla gazing up at the stars ✨ , and I'd love to see him come through Texas haha.what if Godzilla retired?? If the humans somehow manage to create a weapon to fight titans, and Godzilla felt unnecessary what would it look like if he retreated to H.E. and then all hell breaks loose up top? Monarch could recruit Kong to "convince" Goji to get back to work.
In the official novelization of GXK it explains that this Mothra is the Mother of all Mothras. Plus at the end of KOTM you see a newspaper article talking about a Mothra Egg. Meaning we probably will get multiple Mothras
I think a huge Easter egg could be the skeleton of the Mega Titan Kong and Suko cross as a bridge. I’ve seen suggestions that based on the Skeleton it was likely a colossal bear. If there is more of those things running around, Kong, the apes under his protection, Godzilla, Mothra then heck maybe even Rodan, Behemoth etc might be needed to combat it! Other Easter Egg obviously the crystals evoke Space Godzilla Not a theater release but I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of an animated Elseworlds Justice League vs Godzilla vs Kong animated movie. The comic is selling like Gangbusters. Batman TMNT and Justice League/RWBY both went from comic to animated films. We know Legendary can do animation with Skull Island. So I’m far from saying bank on it but it would surprise me if the idea had been mentioned in the appropriate circles.
To be honest, I think GxK might be my favorite Monsterverse film now. I love absolutely everything about it except for Godzilla taking a backseat again. As for a sequel, I would like to see some other subterranean human civilizations that have a monster god/protector like Megalon and Manda.
(6:07) Im pretty sure Warstu is the one that keeps mentioning Spacegodzilla for a potential MonsterVerse debut, I don't recall DangerVille talking about Spacegodzilla in their recent videos lol. 😏☄🦖🌌😄 (0:11) Im not so sure if its really a retcon to her evolution because I could have sworn that I saw a cocoon right after Jia touched the inviable wall (or what ever it was supposed to be lol), and then immediately afterwards Mothra popped out (granted ive only seen the movie once so far and unless Adam Wingard or someone else that worked on the film says other wise then thats kinda what im going with for now at least). Also to be fair Mothra did come out of a cocoon in "King of the Monsters" and they even showed it in some of the computer screens briefly but it was obviously behind the waterfall when she did finally came out of it. 🤔🥚🦋🕸🤷
Besides giving Godzilla a more focused story on his character, I’d like them to go back to a tone that’s somewhere along the lines of KotM or Skull Island (albeit with far better dialogue, New Empire to its credit got part of the formula right with a tighter cast of characters). I would like them to bring back another monster for ol’ Goji to bounce off of like Rodan since his presence is greatly missed. Destoroyah would be awesome but save him for much later for an Avengers level film. After all, Destoroyah is a gestalt monster who’s composed of multiple ones, so why not save them for a monster army led by Godzilla, Mothra and Kong to fight against. As for who I would like to see come back next? Probably Megalon and Gigan. I mean we got underground people now so why not go with that choice. Failing that maybe a creature that never made it past the concept stage like Bagan or the Gryphon. Or hell, bring in more of the newer monsters we haven’t seen put to screen yet.
I would like to see a hollow earth version of space Godzilla and how he evolved to be more porweful thanks to the fauna, the gravity and resources of the hollow earth. If King ceasar would be introduce, i expect a movie that make his introduction by showing us a unknown tribe with different culture and different belief. Or it could be the Iwi people (sorry if i butchered the name a bit) that are trying to build him for millienia. Just some shorts ideas to adapt Toho's monsters to the Monsterverse.
at my guess next villain is gonna be another original kaiju with new story connected to it rather than remaking something from past ım excited about ''the godzilla ate a star'' though
I would love for the next Monsterverse villain to be Gigan. They really should expand upon the space side of the Monsterverse, and Gigan would be perfect for that
My first thought when seeing mothera was, didn't king of the monster's post credits say mothera's egg was found in China or something? How did it get into the hollow earth? Or is there more then one egg?
I think it's about time LEGENDARY bring the XILIENS as the next threat, imagine them being the origin of the IWI's and KING GHIDORAH. FINAL WARS or DESTROY ALL MONSTERS
I would love to see another legacy kaiju on the next movie. I do love the original kaijus, don't get me wrong, but having a mix of both would be nice. One movie got legacy kaiju, the next original, the cycles continues. I wanted to see Jet Jaguar and Kiryu being in the Monsterverse. Not necessarily next movie, but one day down the line. As we've seen that Mechagodzilla is a thing already, but was hated by Goji. Nexr there's the Titan Hunter from The Hunted, which is basically just Monsterverse junkyard Jaeger. Added to this there's Project Powerhouse, even if it's cancelled. I do want the next installment shows even more how crucial it is to support the benevolent/guardian Titans, and see a threat that truly nearly defeating Godzilla. And not because he is tired like on GvK, but truly overpowered peak Goji. Goji still won, but barely. So they continued on with Powerhouse. They could used Raymond's scematics as basis for Jet Jaguar and Kiryu, tho they would need to find a way to not tick off Goji's pride while making them. They could do what Raymond did, by planting distraction. When both units are finished, probably to avoid getting destroyed by Goji, they would bow to him. Or they would be deployed after a different threat, maybe multiple like Gigan and Megalon tag team, overpowered Goji with neither Kong nor Mothra could help out. It'll be like Jet Jaguar helping Goji out in Ruler of Earth comic. Would be cool to have Dagon skeleton used for Kiryu, albeit Kiryu should not be Dagon-sized (Dagon is smaller than Gare-Goji iirc), but bigger than Goji like 21. But I do hope that Kiryu would resembles Monsterverse Goji more, and Jet would have 2013 PR aesthetic (unlike Titan Hunter that is too scrapyard for my liking). Also, if Powerhouse is meant to support and upgrade Titans, maybe we could see a fully armored B.E.A.S.T. Kong. Just imagine if at the finale of Monsterverse, Kong with full body armor holding an upgraded axe while riding on Shimo, followed by an army of great apes, charging at the enemy. That'll be kempy as all hell. I could go on and on for what I'll love to see in this universe, but for now, exploration to Project Powerhouse would be nice. But it needed to be after a threat that nearly killed Goji even with all of his plot armor.
I honestly did not watch this film. But with everything I've seen. I don't want to. This is not the godzilla film for me, nor is the mv. I'm honestly done with these films. Maybe if they do a sort of reboot that reestablishes the tone of the series and retcon some mistakes that were made. But I can't see that happening.
@@kaijucanuck4492 It is what it is. I do like a lot of the concepts it has but the tone is just a little too silly to me, and a lot of the titans feel completely wasted. It's just a shame bc at least even the Showa Kaiju felt a Lil important and had actual established history. But idk it just feels like the MV is more interested in killing off characters introducing new ones, killing them off, like nothing besides Godzilla and Kong feels important anymore. All of the world and lore building is just an excuse for increasingly silly fights to occur instead of telling a Good story.
"The script, there is a plot but it's preposterous tosh and it makes no sense, and it doesn't even try to make sense... Stuff. Stuff. Stuff. ROAR." " Now that they’ve kissed and made up, there’s no real meat in this generic big creature smackdown." "As much fun as it is to watch the Titans fight... at some point you go like: 'what's the point of this'." " it’s surprisingly dull - devoid of much in the way of wonder, soul, or the genuinely strange." "By comparison, these low IQ American cousins offer little more than Hollywood spectacle." "Adam Wingard’s movie is best aimed at those whose thumbs are working imaginary game controllers as they watch." "Without enough humor to assimilate such nonsense, Godzilla and Kong: The New Empire is an ugly film in its form and honors the hollow earth in which the action takes place and ultimately, is unbearable to watch. " I'm sorry you take issue with my use of the word 'thrash' but perhaps you can observe the forest despite the trees.
@@kaijucanuck4492 The forest is that critics, as a whole, has been cool overall. There are positive reviews, negative reviews, and middling reviews. You can be as smug as you like, but the childish one sided rivalry G-fans have with movie critics and the quazi conspiratorial idea that some amorphous collective "critics" have something against these movies is absurd.
I hope if they introduce Destroyah (or a Destroyah type) they give it AT LEAST two movies to set it up and then pay it off. It would be badass to see our bois lose at the end and have to come back to finish that shit in an epic finale!
