I find that the carafe was made in poor design and that you should be able to pour in the back without problems. Don't break carafe as replacing is quite expensive. I replaced with a universal one which fit and was built better than original.
Is the internal parts made out of plastic ? I’m trying to find non plastic coffee makers and even looked in to old fashioned percolators … but I’m on the fence because I read that the percolator brew brings out the acidity in coffee ..
Mine is outrageous red and yes it looks good. I have to say that mine doesn't beep with it switches off after forty minutes, which rather gets my goat. How about yours? I understand they're supposed to. Mine also leaves a bit of a puddle behind it when I open the lid and can't help thinking that it could have been better made as it seems to run down the back onto the cable. Not good.
