I feel like PubG is in a great place in terms of weapons.. I see very diverse load outs with the Aug still dominating slightly in the hands of stronger players.. but very very diverse load outs
I'd like to agree, though I'm still of the opinion that they nerfed the shottys to much. They should increase the damage but strongly nerf the damage dropoff. Let them one shot (headshot) a lvl 2 player within 10m but do 50% damage on targets 20m away. Oh and I'd like to buff the Winchester since it's so niche, same with crossbow, it needs to one shot even lvl 3 vests, if someone is talented enough to use it they should get rewarded (of course just my opinion)
Now all they need to do is make everyone spawn with a LvL 1 bag ..... = more loot on map with no 1 bags, and no more i can’t pick anything up at start on hot drops..........and Xbow improvement Combine Xbow w quiver like lynx give it 20-25 bolts remove quiver and bolts from world spawn. Or hell just add Rambo explosive tips (purely for memes). Overall until UR5 release for PUBG its in a good spot a few maps could use a few small things. Add like 4-6 more zip lines on miramar, karakin needs something ive used to love it now for whatever reason i loath it, maybe just like bigger maps (comeback, pacing etc) which is wierd because I still love sanhok . Maybe add bicycle racks to some houses that have 4 bikes preracked on it. But client performance wise game is in good shape. (Once the summer is over and all games not just PUBG) numbers go back to normal the game should be in a great spot.
Maybe it would be more appropriate to make sure there are always level 1 bags next to a loot area. I also run into this problem very often where I can't pickup healing items or grenades because my bags are full.
@@lakebro no I’m saying everyone should start with a level one backpack. You’ve never said he killed me because he had a 1 bag, but how many times in a hot drop you get extremely unlucky with no bag no you can’t pick up anything. With everyone starting with a level 1 bag remove them totally from world spawn that would free up depending on the maps from hundreds to possibly thousands of items to now be useful loot. Has nothing to do with cosmetics, purely removing a totally annoying thing. Same with Xbow and quiver as someone who memes w xbows a lot. You know how many Xbows spawn with only 5 bolts. Way way too many. I guarantee from a primary weapon slot perspective it is the least used weapon. So why waste world item spawns for quivers and random bolts for a weapon that’s barely used. Conversely it would be like Miramar having Lynx ammo randomly spawn on the map for a crate only gun that spawns what like 10% of crate spawns. It just waste world item spawns.
Thanks CDOME for making this. Your vids are great. Been waiting on it since the re-balance. Main thing I wanted to see was drop-off over distance. Which was not strong enough. A couple things to add: -Everything uses 9mm. This was a HUGE improvement. Something I'm not sure you mentioned but makes for more utility in your bag and no ammo problems end game. -Movement Speed - SMGs should shred up close. The ADS speed has always been faster, I'm not sure the small buff made much of a difference--but I think it's fine. But with the additional movement speed, it's much easier to win those ring-around-the-rosy tree/rock fights. As it should be. -Bullet Velocity (mentioned... but...) One HUGE advantage ARs have over SMGs is shooting people out of cars. I would consider myself an expert with the UMP... but landing shots on a car as it drives by is TOUGH. MP5 is a little easier... but still difficult. However, with an AR... it's EASY. That reason alone often is the factor in whether or not I run an SMG. Something you PC guys hear about but don't experience... CRONUS use on console is RAMPANT! SMGs are one of the only ways to combat it. Lastly... it's funny how everyone hates on the vector and UMP but you don't hear the same hate for the MP5. And now that it's on all maps... it's probably the best SMG. What I think the Meta should be: 1-50m: SMGs 50-150m: ARs (note: damage drop off with ARs should also be significantly increased after 200m.) 150+ : DMRs/Snipers. Thanks again for the vid. Limb damage multiplier is hands down the most annoying thing in the game. Makes no sense that a person landing precise shots loses to someone who lacks accuracy
I agree they gotta change limb damage multiple to do more when hitting critical body locations not leg shots and hands shot or give us arm guards and leg guards Force them to hit better shots with smgs 😊
yeah i agree limb damage mult is wild and so is damage distance i could maybe understand limb mult being cut off at like 25meters what damage distance should be nerfed though.
Yeah, Limb damage multiplier, the most annoying thing in PUBG. Sometimes i pick the SMG (MP5K/MP9), but i always aim for the head, never aim for toes or nails, but still prefer AUG, AUG is SUPER GOOD right now
2 question! First: ... do you think that this change is trying to get closer to what is warzone movement ??? And the second one is: .. is this update already on console?
Aug also shoots 50rpm quicker so TTK wise in the right hands it should win. It's much easier to hit UMP shots though so often will win vs people who haven't mastered recoil. An interesting video would be comparing average TTK over say 50m with a variety of guns with 3 groups of players, 1 totally new to game, 1 experienced average players and 1 group of pro's. Might come to a more "effective TTK" for weapons taking into account accuracy and how hard they are to handle. TTK figures assume every full auto bullet hits and beyond 50m that just isn't the case always, even with pro's
Yea limb multiplier is dumb. I also get the speed with the SMG idea to close the gap, but you don't need strafe speed to also be faster. I'd even be okay to make SMG speed the same as pistol running speed (If its still faster than unarmed) and then both strafe speed the same.
i been prio on the mp5k for weeks now... its such a beast up close and still melts people in lvl2 gear further out. Absolutely love the ttk on it. Alot of fun to use ;D
I've been using the MP5 for years and recently noticed something was different before I knew about the update. It does kill really fast, but it felt more difficult to control for some reason.... Did u feel that?
UMP is now OP at short range. killed 2 teams of 3 on my own a few nights ago in a hot drop at max range of 35m. thats never happened before, usually i would of been insta dead.
It makes no sense that an assault rifle would require more hits than an SMG, at any distance. They should be the same amount it hits at best, and the AR’s should require less hits at longer distances. No class of weapon should have a special limb multiplier over another. The advantage of the smg should be movement speed and fire rate. Disadvantages should be damage and accuracy over distance. Also movement speed shouldn’t match running without a weapon, but get you maybe 90-95% to that speed. Pistols should give full running speed.
@@CDome well pistols used to be the best for driveby shootings untill they nerfed the reload time and stuff, maybe it's time to take another look at that change.
The running with an SMG out is actually pretty wild. Not a fan. Also, SMG’s have ALWAYS been lasers. I personally don’t use em mid to end game, but I stay back from them like a shotty if I can.
Thanks for the analysis. Yes, smg's are great now but why would someone want to use a ump over a vector when the vector is just way better in time to kill? In what cases would ump be more useful?
Thanks CDome. Will PUBG ever implement everything that is only available on certain maps onto all maps? If it’s tested and works, I say add to all maps because the difference between maps with items actually makes it more frustrating than fun. Blue chips on all maps or Js9 on all maps as examples. PUBG, if your reading this, add more vehicles to Ronda and implement the two plane player distribution at the beginning of Ronda to more maps, utilise more of the maps, have a plane drop people at less than 1/4 map is rubbish.
as much as i love the changes myself because smgs are my main gun. i do think perhaps the damage over distance needs to be more. personally i felt no change spraying people 100-150 meters. it should add another bullet needed over 50M
Yo C I started my pubg grind with the ump5 as my favorite weapon in the game intel they changed the ammo to 9mm I wish they would go back to 45mm on all maps.
Everyone and their mom now playing UMP. It sucks tho to die to 1st or second UMP bullet due to huge desync issues pretty much every game. Playing steady 20ms ping and regularly lose AR to SMG fight even tho I start shooting considerably earlier and hitting my shots. Plus a lot of times I just get deleted from 50 meters by UMP. Really demoralizing combined with desync issues and slow UMP bullet.
Slightly related topic, but does anyone think new weapon(s) should be added soon? Looking for more 5.7 options, even if its only a sidearm. Any other ideas or is everything fine as is?
The ump has always been op for an SMG, for the people who know how to abuse it, it's crazy, I abuse the Bizon ... It's no-where near as good as it was. These changes won't make a difference. What they should of done was nerf the 7.62 ARs and dmrs ammo count and single shot spam. Dmr's take no skill to use...
Hello Cdome!! Regarding your PC problem and FPS issues in PUBG, it's not about your PC. it's about the game engine being old. Basically, the game is not compatible with a lot of the new GPUs, CPUs, and other parts of your PC. I have the best and latest components on the market, and I also experience FPS problems in PUBG. This issue is entirely due to PUBG needing updates and better compatibility with new technologies
I always loved smgs and wanted a reason to use them more, but every time I pickup an smg I always find an aug right after and I have the progressive skin for it...🤔
I switched to SMG's about 4 months ago. Now I use SMG and DMR, I used to use AR and SR. Both combos work but I find the SMG is much easier to use in general.
I love and like the changes. Imo smgs kinda have a place in the game but lets be honest the ldm needs to be removed. I can see why they got rid of the 45 acp smgs. The loot pool is to exspansive, they kinda simplified it with making all smgs 9mm. Ima be honest, new players may come but at this point. Pubg 2 needs to be a thing. I love pubg just as much as the next guy, but we are kinda beating a dead horse here into trying to run again.
@@CDome I really wouldn't mind a PUBG hero br like apex. Keep the great gunplay, but with roles in a team to make it feel more rewarding. Overhaul the movement. I wanna see a bigger longer PUBG experience. Bigger lobby sizes, bigger team sizes bigger battles a longer PUBG match. Wouldn't mind a long ttk aswell. Also as Ive said to you before can we pick a perspective and stick with it which would finally unite our community.
I'm a bit late to the pass ... I'm on Lvl 10 on console ... if I buy the advanced pass will it put me on lvl 30 or standard Lvl 20 ... because I swear I've seen that happen before
yes the advanced pass gives you the extra level boost (any point that you buy it). You can also buy individual level boosts if you have the spare gcoin
SMGs are way too strong now. Good players with good aim are abusing the lack of recoil on the JS9 and MP5. Basically, there is no reason to use ARs over SMGs right now. SMG/DMR is the new meta.
Aye you not wrong my boy, that’s what I’ve been using, on the contrary tho, I’ve also used a lot of every other gun that I don’t normally use and I’ve still won games.
The problem is that SMG weapons were made for beginners, but many professional players changed to playing with SMG weapons...SMG weapons have become much better than AR in everything..disgusting game
It does not make sense to make a close quarters weapon so easily to control that you can easier delete people than with any AR. They should be very controllable from the hip but not aiming. This game rebalances never made sense
They screwed up switching to all 9mm This will do nothing for new players Old players will just be using subs now. Also mele weapons are useless and you don't run fast with them
They should evolve the mechanics and make it possible to carry 3 main weapons, an example at long distance (SR, DMR), medium distance (AR) and short distance (SMG), replacing the damn garbage pistol or garbage tactical equipment 🤔
Majority of players don't even carry pistols these days. It's pretty much a hot drop kinda thing. They average player uses the smoke launcher in that slot. Me, being a casual solo console player, I could care less about the tactical play style. I only pick up lethals lol. Barely use smoke launchers either
Unpopular opinion: I think the limb multiplier is good, because it make the SMGs competitive at close range. Otherwise, they won't be able to compete with the damage of the ARs. With this meta, you have the option to move closer with the AR, but just like with the shotguns, you want to consider the fact that an SMG user will be dangerous.
This is factually incorrect if you simply watch this video lol look at the hits to kill for head/chest. They’re essentially the same for SMG and AR. No reason for limb damage X
@@CDome The reason is to make the SMG's a bit stronger at close range, because otherwise, the ARs will overall be better. As an experienced player I'd still always go for the AR, because I know it doesn't get worse with the range increase. But if we keep it like this, there is a tactical decision to be made even with better experience. Because maybe, I like the extra agility that sometimes allows me to get closer to my enemy. Does it make sense from a realism perspective? No. But then again, neither does drinking energy drinks to heal bullet wounds...
@@CDomeoh it was a typo sorry, but idk why I feel like pubg has guns damage based off of skill, I play on consoles and when I use a smg their 💩 but when a 0.6 kd player uses one I get shredded so fast
Smg´s are fine now. If you just nerf the guns you can get them out of the game like so many weapons, cause nobody would play them. Everybody playing a Aug or M4 or Berryl is just boring.
worst update ever, after investing about 9k hours in this game to get better at it one with 10 hours match my skill because of dummy buff. if you want to invest in making a major release you should do as following: -Take the anti-cheat to another level by deploying or creating a real good one like the one was protecting Pubg Lite and removing player before the plan not after they destroy the game. -improve TDM respond in good location based on your team not same location beside opponent - Lower item prices and encloud COLLABORATION into the pass why I should pay any thing when i know i will get nothing in return. Feeling frustrated about not caring about old player and the greed of money seek
you don't gain that much from it. reduced recoil doesn't matter as much if you're landing most of your rifle shots to begin with, and you're giving up bullet velocity by using a smg which is a huge thing. also if you're good at aiming and recoil control you're likely landing at least 1 headshot which is basically more deadly than landing all limb shots. i mean a skilled player will still be a skilled player though, and using the faster movement speed and the ability to run around and spray will still be deadly at close range as it always has been.
@@myclamish Yep, I explained this to my buddy, your giving up bullet velocity for close range. In theory it sounds nice until you need to shoot people out of a moving car. Watched a short of tgltn he had a mp5 and was trying to spray people out of a car and sure he was landing shots but more than likely was tickling his opponents till they got close proximity of him. A high skilled cap player a smg would be a nerf to them till a certain range. Smgs are effective imo are great for landing quickly getting a gun and wrecking. But mid to late game your gonna want a ar more than likely because you'll need the range. Probably be best if a person or two in your team runs a smg.
Man the mp5 still sucks. I keep getting outdamaged by all other weapon types at close range full body spray vs lvl 2 vest...... i would rather play crossbow than smg. only exceptions are vector and ump but might as well just go 5.56mm instead of ump. regular ARs are just too accurate at close range to care about SMG.
@@CDome doesnt matter when opponent peaks you with beryl and preaims your head, or when you rush around at "no gun speed" and make so much noise the whole server hears you, that's not an advantage. the only 9mm advantage that is real from a good game balance perspective is the skorpion lmao i wish all smgs could shoot from driver position tbh it would be especially impactful in 1s. SMGs would finally have their moment of glory, and not because of some lousy stats rebalance. ps: blizzard already tried the lousy stats rebalance approach with overwatch, we see where it is now.
TLDR: Smg change is pure bs and should never happend like this and instead smg should get overall nerf to dmg, dmg vs range and completely deleted bs limb dmg bonus... ;v And Beryl should get buff if AUG get buff... ;v
