fun fact: most airplanes have auto-pilot mode so sometimes when they get tired 1 or even both pilots will fall asleep mid-flight, so even if you throw the pilot out the window (which there should be a co-pilot aswell) the airplane wouldn't immediately crash! it would get to the destination and crash there cause there's no one to make the landing, much more fun!
