Mr.Puzzles quote " like you meggy, your performance in western spaghetti brought me to tears. Whacting you die over and over, UGH THE EMOTION WAS SO RAW!"
Mr. Puzzles was the reason this movie happened, and the reason why One Shot Wren became just as insane as SMG4 was when he touched the "magical keyboard". If no one believes me, just rewatch the movie and pay very close attention to everything that appears in this movie.
How'd you guys not know this by the way I'm just very shocked The TV icon literally gives away the entire thing. There's only one character that is a TV. And that's TV adware aka first appearance of Mr puzzles
@@Basmud In the SMG4: Babies episode, I've seen plenty of comments blaming One Shot Wren for what he did in this movie, and while it is true that what he did was evil, the same can be said about SMG4 when he got possessed by the keyboard, but in that movie, Meggy was able to realize that SMG4 would never do all of the insane things he "did", which led to the castle getting destroyed.
@@Basmud I noticed the TV icon since the movie was playing live on RU-vid, but it seems like many people didn't for whatever reason. It was very easy to see.
Tari was definitely the MVP of this movie. Yes, she's a shy crybaby, kind of wimpy, and often doubts herself, but when push came to shove, her intense love for her friends combined with her clever insightful hacking skills ended up being vital in a way no one expected. Meggy was always there to encourage her in the past, but now, Tari returns the favor in a huge way. I also loved how she acted as the "eye" in Meggy's hurricane of anger, fear, confusion, and paranoia. (The way poor Meg was being psychologically tortured was freaking gut-wrenching I almost couldn't watch.) Tari was there to aid her in her weak spots and calm her down, which she REALLY needed because as tough as Meg is, she's still very emotionally quick to fly off the handle, which the villain easily preyed on. Our favorite Australian, duck-loving, cyborg gamer was a straight up GOAT
I have been really surprised by the level of horror and detail of this. This is straight up torture ! + the blood was really unexpected here, but I guess we can say that SMG4 lore grow at the same speed as the audience ?
I really love how just plan evil Wren is. And the amount of fear that comes from him simply saying "draw" is spine chilling. If it wasn't for Tari, he would've actually won, and that's scary to think about considering who he is. Another SMG4 villain who would've won had it not been for that one character.
Wren wasn’t born evil, he was driven towards it. I don’t believe he deserved to die, what he did was horrible, but he was driven mad by loneliness and rejection.
23:51 I didn’t notice it the first time watching, but the Meta Runner theme comes in with Tari’s appearance, the small details like this are just amazing.
I like how Axol and Desti being there was the first major tipoff to the audience that something's *very* wrong. (If you don't count the livestream & previous episodes) For starters, Desti's been dead for 4 YEARS. Her death finished off the arc that changed everything, and was a major moment for Meggy's character. If Desti shows up *alive,* and *no one but Tari bats an eye,* you know something's up. Axol's death was a similarly pivotal moment for Melony, and the latter half of the arc he died in pretty much *revolved* around his slow deterioration and death at the hands of SMG0. He had a heartwrenching goodbye and everything, for crying out loud! I especially like the twist on "Oh, this character is alive, that's amazing" and then it turns out it's too good to be true, and bad things happen. Here, them being there at all and no one reacting is the *clue* that something's wrong, rather than the thing that's wrong itself.
The first thing that tipped me off is that the plot in the first place. Everyone was acting as if they were always in western spaghetti the entire time
@@cosmicspacething3474 I noticed that too. That was the first clue something was wrong. Desti and Axol were the final one But since it was revealed later on that everyone was in a simulation and that Wren can rewrite their memory, I'm not sure why it would tick you off
The bit at the bar with Desti and Axol was the peak of the horror for me When something just is **wrong** about a scene, something the viewer will know is weird, but the characters dont react to it Its just magnifcent writing
the fact that nobody is talking about how the machine wren was in during the end of the movie looks really familiar to the machine that francis had, this could mean francis got the machine from puzzlevision, so..... yeah you guessed it mr puzzles mostly started the anime arc (or most of the arcs)
This was honestly one of the best SMG4 movies ever. It was terrifying, funny, and emotional at the same time. You have again proven that you guys know what you do well. And I thank you deeply for that.
honestly this has given Meggy the best character development yet by far imo. Being Tari teacher trying her best to help her,her friendship with mario, and situation with wren backstabbing their friendship all amazing. Honestly Wren is probably one of the best antagonists in a long time before smg3 and waluigi. I feel like SMG4 is going much stronger this year after the end of the waluigi arc.
@@GrandLynx-kp2zi honestly I couldn't find SMG0 to be an interesting villian(the story was interesting but not the smg0 ssdly) even after killing axol off and youtube was just okay at best. Wren though was terrifying, fun, and sad at the same time. Honestly I'm glad smg4 is doing much better now then previous years after the waluigi arc.
Is that my Splatoon OC, Green Inkling girl character, Inkura!? No way! 26:30 Thank you SMG4, For featuring my Inkling character, Inkura in your scene also nice movie!
This is probably one of, if not the most amazing movie they’ve ever made. Tari saving Meggy from the psychological torture by Wren just gave her a huge character development, the creepy fake world mixed in with the western theme, this move is just a masterpiece. Big round of applause for you, SMG4! 👏👏👏👏👏
Seeing all the Meta Runner elements in this movie really reminded me of how well SMG4 has built their pedestal as one of the best animation channels on RU-vid.
Honestly, even though I haven’t seen, it’s gotta be perfect, I wish it was about SMG4’s desire to please his audience taking a physical and mental toll on him and making him physically, ill, and it would’ve explored his mental health and psyche. that’s what I honestly thought it was going to be about.(that’s the impression I got from the foreshadowing and build up anyway.) but when I was scrolling through the video length bar, he just looked like he was possessed by generic monster of the week, and it felt pretty cheap honestly.
@@HexPerplex the “It’s Gotta be Perfect” first starts about the physical/mental toll of SMG4 trying to make this video. But in his effort to make the perfect video, he started resorting to more dangerous methods
I don’t know if anyone else noticed, but the tint of orange changed to the old one when Meggy realizes that Desti and Axol were supposed to be dead. Here: 18:45! Edit: and if any of y’all remember, Meggy‘s subtitles were like an actual light orange. 🟧 (LOOK AT THE SUBTITLES)
42:55 love how smg4 can still put some funny bits in an emotional movie. really shows how smg4 still has the same goofy atmosphere after all these years
I love how boopkins always tries to save his friends and it actually seems like he’s going to help his friends but he always fails in the funniest way possible
Honestly, the highlight of this film for me was any time Tari became heroic and the opening notes of "Always Running" started to play. Meggy's right, Tari had such growth during this movie!
This is the best 3D movie I have ever seen, a drama, a legendary style, an emotional touching story, a happy ending, and the best part is Miggy and Tari’s relationship. I feel like they are truly sisters. This movie is just amazing. ✨ I LOVED IT SO MUCH✨
As a sucker for Westerns, I went into this really hoping for a standard Wild West story where all the characters were standard Western tropes. When I started realising it was more of a psychological horror, I was a bit disappointed, but that quickly faded and I now realise this was an insanely good story about Meggy and Tari’s relationship and the Western touch was a really nice bonus on top of this fantastic movie. Also that title art is so good. Something so fitting about SMG3 being a demolitionist and Bob being a wild gunman.
You see, a good old western is predictable, always has a draw the hero wins, bad guy goes to jail. In a spaghetti western, you have potatoes, the magical vegetable, and spawn camping.
Everything about this movie went all in perfection: 1: Meggy and Tari's relationship shows to be alot stronger and more creative, it's good to see that neither died since they were the main characters for this movie. 2: desti and axol showing up still brings back our memories from the old times. 3: one shot wren being the major reason for this short arc but still pulls off as a great villain for in just a 52 minute film. Aside from any of these, I wonder what happens with the TV adware and what It might do next, looking back at what it made SMG4 do for his "PERFECT" video and returns to make meggy it's next target, it still could be around for more misery it would want to cause.
One shot wren has to be my favorite villain in the series so far. I love how, even though his backstory and death are tragic, it’s clear no one sees it as an excuse for his actions. Not to mention, I also love how Wren is more subtle about his presence with the hints being subtle pieces of foreshadowing
After three months I finally have the courage to watch western spaghetti. This is where I first learned about Axol and Desti. I went to search them up and saw they died. And then I went to watch when/where they died. And then I came back here and finally understand why Meggy was crying when she saw them. That's when I clicked off, when she started crying
3:20 mario starts a shootout 10:57 mario slowly raises his hand and slowly puts it down 13:32 mario gets his pingas destroyed 14:12 bowser and luigi caught in some cuddles
This is why you never meet your idols, kids. Wren might just be the second most Dispicable villain in the franchise. (Never forgetting Francis.) And it was awesome seeing Tari put her Meta Runner skills to use and for Meggy to learn her true value. By far Luke's greatest SMG4 project yet.
Yeah. Your idol may be cool and awsome on the outside but you don't know what they really are on the inside. Be very careful when meeting with your idol in person because they're likely to show their true colors.
Western Spaghetti is an absolute masterpiece! 🤠🍝 The creativity, humor, and attention to detail make it a standout in the RU-vid landscape. It's a wild ride from start to finish, leaving you craving more spaghetti Western goodness. Bravo, SMG4! 👏
21:19 just a small theory what if Mr.Puzzles was making all of Smg4's adventures but at the time of making this video people didn't know who was Mr.Puzzles but just theory A SMG4 THEORY and cut🌝
This has been such a thrilling ride. I was honestly more scared during this movie than the "It's Gotta Be Perfect" movie. It was done so well! The future looks bright for the SMG4 cast!
It all makes sense now. Mr puzzles was trapping them in the same tv realm place where he controls everything just like the puzzle vision episodes we have been getting
27:03 I guess this makes sense because he’s an inkling, but I love how Ren sees a giant tube of mysterious fluid in the middle of a weird laboratory and his first instinct is to just cannonball into it
I love that Tari has the ability to create different worlds, which is absolutely cool! I wish i could have this power too, so I could live in my own world, or still living in the real world, but sometimes going in my own world 😊
I remember who let the chain chomp out as my first introduction into smg4. And months later I found another video. That was in 2017. The adventures of Mario and smg4 sure have changed over the years. Hasn't it?
The fact that SMG4 decided to make a film even more depressing than the War of the Fat Italians movies shows us that SMG4 isn’t always about memes or Mario being dumb. It’s about characters who always were there for each other and have grown to become characters we have been fully attached to for a long time with also memes.
I watch this for the funni not for stupid sad shit that I don't care about at all I watch this to get away from that not to actually see it to remind me about it
The bond Meggy and Tari share throughout the movie is just some of the most wholesome stuff in all of SMG4. It put a smile on my face to see the end scene. It was pretty wholesome.
14:23 This feels like I'm actually watching a real, medium budget animated film. The motions are so smooth and subtle! There's no way this was made only with GMOD, there HAS to be some more advanced animation tools in use!😲
This lore is truly amazing how I understand it. It seemingly starts off cool and chill but nearly the end or in the simulation is pure chaos or getting hard. They way wren turns into a villain is truly the way I appreciate it.
36:44 tugged hard on the heartstrings, easily my favorite scene from the movie. The bond between Meggy and Tari is sacred; they’re more than just friends, they’re practically sisters. It’s been incredible to watch their relationship evolve over the years, and even though they‘ve yet to exchange an “I love you”, the implication is certainly there.
Agreed, and to be honest I think it’s probably for the best that it doesn’t happen. Although they may not explicitly say it to one another Meggy and Tari clearly love each other (as best friends/surrogate sisters, that is), and I think it would cheapen their dynamic were it ever exchanged verbally. They do enough to show it already.
You do know that there are different types of love, right? I tell my friends all the time that I love and appreciate them; it doesn’t mean I want to date them lmao
I can’t believe I went from watching wacky Mario 64 Shitposts on SMG4 in 2014 to watching genuinely hooking psychological horror in an SMG4 movie in 2023. Watching this channel slowly evolve has been one of the happiest things in my life
This movie was so good to watch. Favourite part was 43:40. For the arc that will likely come around the end of the year I would love to see an arc focused more on Luigi and Peach wanting to get revenge
It's so crazy seeing how much SMG4 has grown. Just a couple of guys making clips of Super Mario 64 with text over it, to having an entire production team bringing us animations and movies with memorable characters and scenes, and stuff like this that still manages to bring a tear to my eye.
