Superb arrangement. Love the way the melody and harmony shift between minor to major, back and forth, as befits the lyrical content. A tear and a smile at the same time - an essential contradiction and an integral part of the human condition.

My grandfather died recently and this was his choice of song at his funeral. I have since tried to arrange my own fingerstyle version and have been unable to with my limited skills. Seeing this video literally brought (happy) tears to my eyes. Thank you so much! I can truly appreciate your skill even more since I have tried and failed at this and you have provided it to me in a lesson! Thank you for bringing my grandfather's memory to life ❤️

Thank you for posting this fabulous tutorial and rendition of this timeless classic. A healing song to hear you play it, but than being given instructions on how to play it, is above and beyond. Thank you. The harp like harmonics are heavenly and adds to setting this version apart from all others. You are a man of endless talent and a man of your word, for doing this. Master Class! Absolutely wonderful. This one of the songs I used to play and sing over 40 years ago when I was just starting out. Back then I was just a strummer and the chords I used were very basic but I have never heard it played so wonderfully as this and so very well explained. Now I will learn this from your lesson and will once again enjoy playing the old Charlie Chaplin masterpiece. Thank you so much for taking the time to present this amazing lesson!

So heartfelt arrangement... True to the meaning of the lyrics... I love that little slide on 4:59 followed by the line on 5:00 - 5:03 melted my heart... Great work, Emil...Keep it up!
