Is now 2024, I discovered Smile Empty Soul by the age of 14, now I'm 22 and remember old times when life was blurred, listening to this in this moment is helping me a lot in this hard current time, thanks Smile Empty Soul four your songs
@@philipphawk Yes, of course. I was bored so I decided to put RU-vid and a good pair of headphones, at that age I was struggling with depression and existential thoughts by the way, and then scrolling and scrolling I found a video with the title "With This Knife" and I thought: That title is so hard for a song, maybe the song is deep, so I clicked it, and wow... Was so, so harmful (I'm not saying that the song is bad but it is so deep and sad that becomes in certain moments harmful but I still listen to it currently) and I liked so much Sean Danielsen vocals and central theme of the song that made me feel ravenous for more of the band, so I discovered "Silhouettes, Bottom of a Bottle," Smile Empty Soul self titled album, Anxiety, Consciousness, 3's and fan 'till this day... Man... Due to this band I started my own, those song just made me stronger, Those songs made me strong, capable, decisive and passionate for real, Smile Empty Soul are my favourites, peace and love for every fan out there!! ... And at the end of the day... How you discovered Smile Empty Soul as well?? What's your history, I will be pleased to read you 🕊️
I used to listen to them in middle school in the midst of being in an abusive dysfunctional family. Its sad at almost 35 years old this song could still be my life anthem so so well. 😢😂
Started listening to s.e.s since freshman year and still do one of the few bands that are still on tour city to city and RELEASE ALBUMS WITH AMAZING TRACKS !!!!
If I had to pick a band that is a soundtrack to my life it is Smile. I relate to their music more than any band. No one can top them. Why dont they get radio play and their vocalist is a God. If he died their cds would start selling like mad. People dont take this band for granted. They are better than anything out currently and their cd Conciousness is the fucking best cd I have ever heard, start to finish.
you guys forget they were big in 2003...silhouttes was number 1 on the hot 100 and bottom of the bottle was number one on the radio charts for a few weeks...
I can't believe that I just discovered this band, I freakin' love them! I stumbled across World Fire Brigade first - love them too, they had a great sound, wish they'd done more than one album.
Losers is what society might call us for that we have never reached one of their fake life goals but always remember that it's them who are the true losers for never having understood & felt things like we did! Peace out winners :)
I was surfing through RU-vid and I really don't know how i came from "Happy tree Friends" to "Smile empty Soul" but i really can't complain about it. Great Band !!!!
Wow old self, it’s been 10 years since the comment. I want you to know since then you became sober and make money full time as a guitarist. Keep going! Listen to SES and never forget where you can from
Though im not sure if theyre still together, its a great thing that their music was able to get you through your hardest times and you should always have pride in saying that. That tat prob looks sick as well!
I haven't found a single person I personally know that won't at the very least admit that Smile Empty Soul is a talented band. Maybe the problem isn't them at all, maybe it's that you care too much what they think, when they are obviously too shallow to deserve it. The only people who don't like SES are those who've never really listened to them. Even my grandmother likes some of their songs, and she's been a great-grandmother for 5 years now and grew up on old country.
a realization of good things about yourself may help ur self esteem nd belief in yourself. When someone feels better about themselves they no longer neeed constant reassurance tht others love nd respect them. they begin to know it.
@magicattack2008 what are you saying they are really done for good? They cant be done for good, there always has to be something they can make out of a song, like Megadeth (a metal band from 1986) they went on and on till 2010 adn wrote their last album and they are done now, it sucks now :(. But what are you tlking about with "are they really done for good?"
dude wtf? I like this band, I like this song. The guy who uploaded this video is practically my best friend. It was a joke to him. Not Smile Empty Soul.
This song, along with Avril Lavine's, "Unwanted", are my anthem of anthem(s). Oh, and maybe the chorus of The Pretty Reckless', "Kill Me". "And all the lost souls say"........ Too bad..... So very sad. : (
