The first god I started learning was Fenrir. He really helps new players build good habits. I would also argue that Ratatoskr and Thor are also great gods for beginners.
I considered Rat over Ravana since it's good to get a feel for assassins with globals, but ehh i felt like the acorn mechanic would be a needless roadblock for new players

I feel like thana is pretty good for new players, since the global ult encourages paying attention and it reveals low health enemies even on cooldown so you're less likely to lose track of someone who blinks over a wll. Only problem is you have to consistently land the 1, but if you do it does so much damage and heals you a ton.
