Wholeheartedly agree! I have a CSX and don't have a re-set issue. Go out and enjoy and don't concentrate on a non-issue.

*Before you buy...* the _Smith & Wesson CSX_ - My observations: If you have XXL/XL hands the CSX maybe be a poor choice. For women & small to medium men, it probably works as far as *_fitting the hand._* The *"issues"* with the CSX are well known by now: - *_heavier_* to pull trigger on A SINGLE ACTION GUN ( the striker-fired S&W Shield has a better trigger I'm told - What the...?!) - the CSX has a *"false reset"* before the real reset - some say the gun's handle is comfortable, *others* say the CSX is uncomfortable to hold. TEST before buying. - odd/strange disassembly - *tight bullet* fit in magazines when full of rounds - *tight magazine well* fit when loading firearm with a magazine full of rounds - _minor pet peeve_ - has an *external manual safety* that most modern firearms have gotten away from. Anyway, this _$610 USD_ *S&W CSX* could be a success or become a flop - 50/50. There are many cheaper in cost, higher quality small guns out there in comparison (SIG P365/P365XL, Glock 43/43X, S&W Shield, etc.), IMO. To me this gun is *_not the one._* A better S&W CSX *_Ver. 2 or Gen. 2_* is very much needed.

Same here...so I ran with a ruler to see the total length, and that 5.1" sure is nice for fitting into the pocket. 6.1" is very often better than 5.1", but not in this case. That double-action on the BG also is something I want if it's in my pocket & chambered. The safety is completely useless on the BG...takes me about 45 seconds to move it. The trigger being about 10lb or maybe more is piece of mind for me I'm not likely to have a ND. I am curious about this action, though. But I don't think I'd have it in my pocket, chambered and safety off. Probably going to stick with the BG for pocket carry, but who knows...this could have a time & place to be useful.

It's a basically a 10 rd pistol. They threw in a 12 rd magazine if you don't care about it ending up being a longer grip. Other models like the 9c are 12 rd so you would be able to use mags on either one. I like that they do this. They did the same with the 2.0 which is 15 rds, but because they sent 2 spacers, I can use my 17 rd mags from my full size M&P9. Sometimes I want the 15 rd mag in depending on the shirt, but if I don't have to worry about printing, then I throw in the 17 rd mag.

I looked very closely at it here, and it sure looks identical to my 9C 12s, but according to a post on their forum, folks claiming they are not the same. If that's the case, my bad. And also if that's the case, probably won't be buying this. I sure like being able to have mags loaded and be able to have the choice. Bummer.

I've never disassembled a magazine for cleaning. Ever. I'm gonna go glue mine now actually. Thanks for watching Daniel!

I have only disassembled mags to swap floor plates(for extendo clips lol). I don't see any sense in doing that for this gun.

@@TGator0321 Back in the day when I started conceal carrying I only had 1 handgun and I carried my spare mag in my pocket. After a while of always being in my pocket even when I was at work eventually it got filled with lint, dirt, and even grass probably from being I'm my pocket while I'm sweating at work. I was shooting and started having feeding issues when I pulled that mag apart I found all that crap in it... I'm not saying it needs to be done very often and depending on how you carry your mags or even what kind of job you have (if you carry at work) it might not ever need to be done just like yall are saying.

And also if that's the case, probably won't be buying this. I love being able to have my 17 Rd mags for my M&P 9 full-size loaded, and be able to use them in either that or the M&P 9 / 2.0. They only sent 15 rd mags with the 2.0 along with two spacers. So I was assuming they had same intent here but sent one x12 instead of two 10s and you'd then have to either already have or go buy x12. If they made a whole new magazine that only works on this frame, and didn't just make the molding solid, then indeed that's just weird, indeed. I don't know much of anything re: Shield since I don't own one, and probably guilty of thinking they had some interchangeability with something else...but again, maybe not? Going to call the local shop and see if they have a CSX and take one of my 9c mags there and find out for myself. Curious now.

I would say for a new shooter, buy a compact and take some classes. Then get into the micro world. I don’t know how well this would feel taking through a two day course. The sig p365x macro, Glock 19/48, Walther would be good for a new owner especially to do classes with. Then dive into the micro world. That’s just me though.

Lol! You ShillTube guys get touchy when people call you out on your bs. And that's not what you meant, and that's still not the only cause. S&W has said they're are multiple places it's catching, and it's "working as intended".
