Western Truck and Trailer Sales is proud to present the SmithCo Side Dump, offering standard and multi-axle trailers, pups, trains, and large capacity mining trailers. Here we see the 5-Axle Super Side Dump, which will bridge an incredible 108,000-pound gross weight. This model comes with a 38-foot extended tub constructed from quarter-inch AR400 steel with solid cheek construction. The tub has a round bottom, giving it a lower center of gravity and is watertight with no center divider. When sealed with a tarp, it is the perfect trailer to haul sludge or even hazardous waste.
The adjustable pivot points allow the trailer to dump to either the driver side or curb side, perfect for stockpiling or windrowing. The air ride suspension provides a smooth ride, and the immediate response valve provides greater suspension stability when dumping. The heavy-duty steerable air-ride lift-axles in the first and fifth position provide extra height clearance, which is needed because the legal trailer configuration requires full size 11R22.5 tires.
The side dump features 5-inch hydraulic cylinders with an electric diverter valve already mounted on the trailer, and the hydraulic lines are hard mounted to the back of the trailer for extended life and durability.
