The squeals of joy that those kids made over the sea lions put a smile on my face that I suspect will last the rest of the day. I always loved the zoo when I was a kid. Still do, actually. And the thing you should remember about Cheetahs is that they never prosper.

I know you've been to Brookfield Zoo before, but they've added some cool things for their 90th birthday. Not only do they have a new name and logo, but they have a 110 foot tall Ferris Wheel. The flamingos and dolphins are back and starting this summer, they will have two koalas coming as well as a new Aviary exhibit. They're also working on expanding the Tropic World area to an outside attraction from what I've heard. They have penny press machines too. ;)

I love the red pandas- they're very chill and adorable, usually napping in their hammocks inside- but there's a window next to them, and they snuggle up right next to it. I remember seeing them in the long queue to view the giant pandas which goes by their enclosure.

I actually climbed on Uncle Beasley on the Mall as a kid in the 1970s. Also, a few years earlier, I actually read the book the movie was based on. The plot revolves around a teenage boy who lives on a farm in New Hampshire where a chicken lays a large egg that hatches into a triceratops, and adventure ensues.

P ittssburgh’s zoo and aquarium are attached and there is a classic Ferris wheel (George Ferris was a native Pittsburgher) there.Great long time zoo- lots of hills!

The Philadelphia Area does have the Philadelphia Zoo within the city limits, as well as the Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown. A bit smaller, but has been in a growth phase for the past few years-wrapping up a new visitor center and Vet hospital

My class went to this zoo as part of a Washington DC trip in 1994, and that must have been the first year Uncle Beasley the Triceratops was placed there. This statue is from the same molds as the Sinclair Dinosaurs from the 1964 World's Fair, and that original Triceratops is currently at the Kentucky Science Center and was restored in the last couple years.

San Antonio Zoo is getting some major upgrades, new gorilla exhibit for next year. Also Japanese Tea Gardens and Zoo train runs outside thru the park.

Next time you're in Columbus Ohio, you need to check out the Columbus Zoo. There's a lot of walking now but I love it. Of course I'm partial to it as I have watched it go from a tiny zoo with all the animals in cages to this big, beautiful zoo with lots of room for the animals to move, all thanks to Jack Hanna and his crew

The Oklahoma City Zoo is a really great zoo. Plus it has tons of Mold-a-Matics and even a Museum. It's a Museum in the Zoo, so it's called the Zoozeum!

I live close to the national zoo. Those hills are wicked now that I’m 66 years old. It looks so different now. They added so much. Love the video, thank you.

The Erie Zoo is small but it has a carousel. The Cleveland Zoo is really nice too and has a rainforest exhibit. The Akron Zoo is small and has jellyfish.

Thanks for taking us to the National Zoo. I visited in the past with my sister and was lucky enough to see the Pandas. We were also lucky to see them playing together. They are great animals to see. I hope arrangements can be made so they come back for us to see again.

Hey Jacob, I would LOVE it if you could visit the Denver Zoo next time you go to Colorado! I was a volunteer there about 20 years ago, but I moved out of state 7 years ago, and the zoo has had a lot of updates since then. I'd love to see the updated zoo from your POV! 🙏🙏🙏

Also, one thing that makes Denver Zoo unique is that it has the nation's largest herd of bachelor (male) elephants. Most zoos aren't set up to contain males, especially more than one, and Denver Zoo has 5-6.

When you are in the New England area, both the Franklin Park Zoo in Boston and the Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence are both great zoos to visit.

My parents, and my dad's niece went to the same zoo in Washington DC, about 5 years ago, and we were lucky to see 1 giant panda. We left Florida because the threat of a hurricane was going to hit Tampa

this brought back so many memories of field trips and camp days at the zoo when I was younger! I'm sad I wasn't able to make it there before the pandas' departure, and they'll definitely be missed seeing as the zoo really built their image around them. but it's still an amazing zoo! I think you should make your way back to the snake farm zoo if you get back to that area in texas! I know you did a video on it a few years ago, but they've definitely made some changes since then. and they're working on expanding more!

Hey Jacob, a favorite zoo of mine when I was a kid was the Cheyanne Mountain zoo in Colorado. My parents have an old Super 8 film of me having a fit when we had to leave the zoo when I was 7.

Second the motion! I love the bird house, in which the birds are kept behind piano wire. No thick cage bars that would obstruct your view. I'd like to suggest the Toronto Zoo also. That's another huge one. They have a tour bus, though.

Carpetbagger, The LA county fair opening day is today. There was a preview of the midway food you can get, If you wait too long to visit California it will be terrible and hot at the fairgrounds.

It’s so cool you’re exploring all the Smithsonian museums. My husband and I are visiting DC and were at the zoo a few hours ago! One of the best I’ve been to. Love your videos as always.
