Ok forget the phone dialling and the crazy mask shield mate , safety when loading any break barrel air rifle when you pull barrel down have the shoulder part of stock in your armpit, use your hand on barrel to pull it down while supporting the stock halfway down its length, when it clicks dont let go of the barrel, keep wide stock part under armpit, using other hand which should now be free of holding the stock halfway down, to load pellet< then with hand out of the way bring barrel back up to close it once closed ,dont touch trigger until ready to shoot, the older the gun the make whatever if break barrel, use this method , because it wont break in half unless trigger pulled whilst not holding the barrel, as the barrel whips up and hits the stop and can break stock, by splitting it, can cause barrel to bend upwards too, and if your finger n thumb in there loading say bye byes to them, btw it will hurt like hell to, i managed to clip lump of flesh out of the web of skin n muscle in left hand when closing a fairground one many years ago, the scars still visible now 43 years later, as no safety never leave cocked n loaded , if has safety never do it anyway, most breakages occur as preventivative checks not carried out like checking stock screws tight or better still bit of thread lock on them one at a time this stops them loosening up all the time, clean barrel when accuracy is effected or group size opens up, some hints , i dont need all that PPE just to load a spring powered air rifle , carrying mobiles useful if accents occur where ever when ever ?
