SMK CP2 Victory / Diana Chaser Update 

It’s not against the law to shoot an Airgun in your Garden providing the projectile stays within the confines of the land you have permission to shoot on. Providing you are not making a disturbance and your Airgun is legal, there is no offence being committed. Get some tin cans, a good backstop and invite them over for a shoot and a chat!

The law says 20 feet or 20 meters from public. But today it’s hard to shoot a gun in the garden if I did some shooting in my garden the police would knock my door and it’s not my neighbour. Today people just phone the police even if they can’t see you I’m 58 this year but when I was home with my two brothers we shoot every day but the neighbours all got on and we all new each other it’s not like that now.

@@martinscopes3914 Yeah I remember those days too. Used to practice in the garden with air rifles such as the Original 45, Webley Vulcan and HW35. No complaints and didn't even think we would get any. Today however there is a real downer on airguns. Whether it's legal or not I still wouldn't want that hassle of Old Bill knocking on the door. So I just go to the FT club.

@@gardenguns in a lot of ways I find co2 guns better than pcp as they are so easy no need for a tank or spending 10 mins pumping up

Why do you use such a heavy pellet I usually run around 13 , 10 gr on my pallets at home like this hero heavy on .oldgeorge usa

@@gardenguns nice vid you did previously with the cp2.Please could you do some more pellet specials with this gun.. ie muzzle velocity versus impact velocity.That way we could have a good idea of which pellets seem to suit best(and would be useful knowing energy retention for pest control) My CP2 seems to like firing RWS superdomes, but the ballistics data i've seen on them doesn't hold them in such high regard out at distance.I'd love to see a comparison

Just bought this weapon. Never read or seen a gun that's had so much praise associated with it. Had to have it in my collection.

Interesting little plinker. Great in anyone‘s collection or a brilliant dual use gun if you are limited on funds or space.

I think it is one of the best priced bits of kit out there for what you get. Having said that I am thinking about getting a 2250 to play with and try the upgrades to see where you end up.

Red dot is the best to start with. A cheap 3-7 or 3-9 by32 scope would be good as well. Hawke do one. I used a Hawke 3-9x32 on mine for shooting past 20 yards

@@gardenguns yes i think a red dot for the back garden its only short distance. I've got a really good scope on my rifle for long range. This is just gonna be my back garden toy

The red dot is useful to use in pistol setup as well. 👍

Been a while since I have played with mine, so my memory is not that good. However if I remember right you need to remove the rear sight to be able to use the rail on top of the CP2. There were no problems when I did I it.

Oooohhh. That is not good. Try getting n touch with sports marketing. They import and distribute SMK products in the uk. I can’t guarantee hey will be able to help, however that is where I would start.

It seems to depend on who you speak to. When I looked at the guidelines I thought it would be looked at as a rifle. However I am not a specialist in fire arms law. After a year my CP2 is well under the legal limit now with the small barrel on.

It's classed as a rifle in rifle mode as it's none concealable !

I have been told from the supplier that the CP2 and the Diana are the same design. Not sure about where they are made. My CP2 was in .22. Hope this helps.

I did think about modding mine however it works fine for what we use it for as is. I couldn’t justify the spend.

They sell a pcp version now I think
