Mine are interconnected, I changed the battery, still chirping, removed all of my alarms (6 total) and still chirping. How to fix? Please help....many thanks
Thanks for the video. Changed the battery first on the old smoke detector and still chirping. So I exchanged the smoke detector altogether and still chirping. Any thoughts on how to get it to stop chirping?
my house smoke detector keeps beeping when I turned off the power and opened up all windows last night. And right now it is still beeping even after I switched the power back on. What should I do?
Mine went off at 430 this morning. They are a year old, from a remodel. Am now learning that not all of them are 9 volt.Walmart run to get a batter. Hopefully that fixes it. We're sweating at 72 degrees.
My fire alarm keeps beeping 3 times and has been doing it for weeks now and my apartment flat out won't come and fix it. My boyfriend looked at it to try and change the battery but it has a 10 year battery that we can't change and the alarm was literally just installed and had the battery put in it in February. I'm losing my mind listening to this beeping and I have a meeting tomorrow that I need the beeping to stop for 😭
Your ionization smoke detector going off could be due to the levels of radon gas trapped in the dew in the air in the morning in combination with the age of the detector.
Hi Dangerna....thank you for watching and commenting. Smoke Detectors are important and beeping Smoke Detectors cause people frustration. Glad you found the video useful :)
My house flooded and my smoke detectors are going off continuously. I have turned off a cb to stop it. Any idea what the problem is? They are hard wired and have 9 volts battery backup.
+dbc7772011 Often times, when hard wired smoke detectors containing 9 volt batteries are chirping after the circuit breaker has been turned off they are doing so under the power of the 9 volt battery for the purpose of announcing a power / battery issue
@@lalaboards this does fix them because it resets. This worked for me. It's always in the middle of the night 9 volt batteries. I had one that after the new battery it kept chirping, took it down unplugged the base removed battery then held button down for 15 seconds it chirped until it stopped i released button held down again it chirped a little then stopped, the third time i held down button nothing, the capacitor was released of energy, took shop vacuumed out and cleaned it re- installed now its been 3 hours no chirps.
ᴍᴀssᴀᴄʀᴇ I unmoored that shrill bird from the ceiling, allowed decompression, with a reinvigorating blast of compressed air, and she purred like never before.
