Lately I read "The Catcher in the Rye" for the first time and this here is the closest to an organ version of "Smoke gets in your Eyes" as I get (there is a scene in the book that features this music at a merry-go-round).
As usual, your theater organ expertise and brilliance shone through.... it was beautiful.... In case you don't know, .... this song came from a movie in the late 30's, and was performed in a russian restaurant with a Bala Leica band. and sung by the leading lady...Greer Garson or Ida Lupino.....bb
@@imcg110 Irene seemed to be cast in the romantic comedies more than musicals. Beautiful voice on this beautiful tune. Straight from the film > RU-vid title is easy> ' *Irene* *Dunne* - *Smoke* *gets* *in* *your* *eyes* '
Been watching a lot of your videos. Very Inspiring and has helped me get more familiar with my own Paramount 341. Do you do any modifications to the presets by adding additional stops? The registrations all sound beautiful.
The registrations are different for each piece but most are shown in the videos. They are however generally similar to my default settings that we ship with the instrument.
Used a midi kit custom made from midi boutique. Soldered it in to the existing circuits. I’ve done a fair bit of work on real theatre organs over the years so I knew my way around. Various other systems available. The Artisan one is good too. Not a particularly difficult thing to do, especially with these traditionally constructed older Rodgers organs.
