I love this show and I think the concept of bodies as 'sleeves' is sooo fascinating. So of course I think Kovacs inhabiting Ryker's sleeve and growing close to (and maybe loving?) Ortega is so tragic (even if it's just a product of the sleeve's pre-existing 'pheromones'), let alone how she must feel, and soo as a result here's a little tribute.

Amazing job and editing! The replicas are perfectly matched. I think serial Kovacs and Ortega were only attracted to each other by biochemistry. But then this relationship went beyond the simple action of pheromones. Kovacs is morally stronger than Riker. He stays strong even when he's hurt. And it caused Ortega to fall in love with him. A sense of his inner psychical strength. Kovacs is very lonely. He's acting like an asshole. But he is desperately needs to be needed to somebody. That's why this love story is so dramatic. In the final of the show, they do not want to part, but they understand that it is necessary. But both Ortega and Kovacs will now always be torn apart between two beloved people. Crazy love quadrilateral) I just fell in love with this crazy love story. It was really not so alive and dramatic at the book.

Thank you! :) Yes, I completely agree! Their relationship, for all its complications, was so captivating and I agree that it ran deeper than just attraction to a former lover's sleeve. (Personally, I found the Kovacs/Quell relationship not nearly as interesting or as believable, even though it was the focus). But yes, I love how both Kovacs and Ortega are torn between those who they loved before, so tragic (and I have not read the books, but hope to soon!)

the storyline of this video is so so good!! I love the ryker/kovacs concept & how that affects his & ortega's relationship that you showed with this ! LOVE LOVE LOVE

this is rad, gorgeously edited and i love the haunting quality of it, that reflects how these two were haunted by Ryker (way more than Quell, which actually undermined the quell/takeshi relationship (which i also liked very much with original takeshi but not nearly as much as kortega) and yes that love triangle between kovacs, ryker's ghost and ortega is just what dreams are made of, for me it was perfect as it was and i dont think we need more because it is bound to end in misery and i was surprised to see the show actually make you realize that kovacs was actually growing feelings/loved ortega with all these little hints from him being the one instigating their closeness, to his discussion with the part of his mind that quell represented outside the hospital, to him feeling torn when kristin said ryker's name at the hospital, to ortega becoming his clear focus until the end and the ending was beautifully bittersweet, because they both still love their old flames but they have carved a pocket of only them during kovacs stint in ryker's sleeve And for me, it only works with kovacs being in ryker's sleeve, because both actors (joel and martha) have absolutely phenomenal chemistry which you unfortunately dont find with quell, altho quell has good chem with original takeshi holy shit this got long and rambly, and i'm sorry but these two have me obsessed again gorgeous video, thanks for sharing

Thank you so much for the lovely comment! :) I agree with what you said exactly, I loved that the culmination of their relationship was bittersweet - personally I feel that it's almost more satisfying that they didn't (couldn't) work out and be together because of their past ties (and of course the complication of Ryker's sleeve). I think a tragic story is just so much more interesting ;) And ya, even though Kovacs/Quell was what you were meant to believe personally I just didn't find it convincing. Maybe because of the lack of chemistry as you say (and I might have overlooked that more if their past with birth-Takeshi was more developed). But no worries, I'm obsessed too haha Thanks again!

Thank you so much! I do as well! (To me, even though it was the focus, the Quell/Kovacs relationship didn't seem to have the same depth or chemistry as Ortega/Kovacs. Would've also liked to see more)
