I have been searching for a good beef rib source. I will not give up the quest. By the way, I used your Chilli recipe. HUGE HIT!! Next time I will at least double the recipe.
that's awesome. the chili recipe from the website i take it? I made one batch this year so far... probably due for another soon. thanks for the support!
I got meat sweats from watching this video. Looks amazing. I just placed my order for a RT-700 over the weekend, and I look forward to trying some beef ribs this summer.
Another fine cook. You inspired me to recommend pellet grills (even though I don't own one) to a good friend who really appreciates BBQ (and especially short ribs) but does not want the hassle of charcoal.
they are ridiculously good if you like the fatty part of the brisket... pretty similar except better in my opinion. costco does seem to carry them now too... finally coming around
Brother you nailed the beef rib cook!! I will have to agree great cook yummy nice smoke ring great bark . Can’t wait to get together and do a cook. Keep smoking T&T BBQ
so, these were pretty good... but the follow video was the real treat to eat... going to grill them the day later over charcoal with BBQ sauce... might be my new favorite treat!
My first try at beef ribs was a bit of a downer. They turned out dry, though the flavor was good. Next time, I’m trying prime! Thx for sharing neighbor!
Thanks! there will be a follow up video where I grill them them the following day with BBQ sauce... those were actually the best... so look for that one later this week
thanks for watching and the correction... I am no butcher that's for sure... I usually say "do you have any full racks of uncut short ribs" ... and they seem to know what I want
i did it today and it was 205 inside temperature but it wasn't like butter lol, what do i do next time? i took out of the refrigerator and left out for about 20 minutes.
If you want more smoke flavor, I would go with a stick burner or a charcoal smoker - my favorites are the kamado smokers, just because they are so easy to control, use less charcoal, and have amazing flavor and overall results. The rec tec has a little more smoke flavor at lower temperatures, but still may not be what you are looking for
@@Searedandsmoked I'm looking at getting a 700 also. My wife is not a fan of a lot of smoke, however my brother-in-law is and he is a huge smoker snob. Would this work for my wife, and can I just throw in a smoker tube to increase the smokiness for my brother-in-law? Thanks, also how well does this maintain temp in cold weather, I have cold Michigan weather.
in the des moines area. I make it to the cedar rapids area once and a while to visit a few friends. there is a good BBQ place in marion, right? cannot remember the name. always nice to have another iowa viewer!
kind of depends... here in iowa you are starting to see them more, but most places not have full racks on display, so folks assume it's not possible. where are you located?
Oh, it was around 30 F or so... food cools off so quick after you get it out of the smoker... really puts a rush on the video production... but the smoker was just fine
