Well done Ricer!.......err should I say medium rare done! You're channel has come a long way keep up the good work! You should do a quick video on the ventilation system for your pellet grill.
I might do that eventually because I have had several questions on it! Be just a quick video not related to my channel but I will make something!!! Thanks for watching and I appreciate the comment!!!!
Heck ya Eric and I appreciate that brother!! I am at least trying to be the king of something!!!!hahahhaa Thanks for watching and I appreciate you leaving a comment bud!!!
Heck ya dude!!! That is what we typically do with the scrap and honestly that is what we had for dinner last night!!! hahaha Simply seasoned them up with some SuckleBusters SPG and tossed around in the frying pan!! Make a little gravy with some egg noodles and BAM family fed!!! hahahah Like always thanks for watching Rage!!!!
Glad you enjoyed the video Mike!! Ya should be at least a few more cooking videos in a row now! But I do have some other review videos scheduled in January!! Like always brother, thanks for all your support!! Merry Christmas Mike!!
Hahahahha ya Bobbi I am glad he finally got tired of watching me struggle and showed me a WAY easier method!!! Like always thanks for all your support to the Nation!!! I hope you have a wonderful Holiday Season!!!
LMAO at the knot tie w/Russ!!! In all seriousness great looking tenderloin my man!!!! Hey bud what apron is that and what mop brush do you have? That silicone brush seems to pick up a lot of liquid and seems can be used as a mop or a brush. How are you liking the LSG compared to all the other pellet smokers you have used? Thanks bud in advance for answering my questions. Love all the great content as always my man and Merry Christmas to you and yours!!! 👊🙏🇺🇸
Hi Bobby! I actually sell the leather aprons so if you are interested in one send me an email to deadbrokebbq@gmail.com the basting brush is made by Weber amzn.to/3m4aSO9 Works great and I use this one all the time! Hands down the LSG is the best pellet grill I have ever ran to date. The smoke profile is very close to my old offset but so much easier to run!!!ha ha In a few months I will have a new offset in here so I will be able to compare the 2. I am just thrilled to get back to a stick burner again just for the pour enjoyment of fire management but like I say the pellet version is about 1/4 of the work!!!! hahaha Merry Christmas to you and your as well Bobby!!! Thanks for watching brother!!! PS.. YA Rus has saved me a lot of future F Bombs moving forward when I have a hunk of meat to tie up!!!!! hahahaha
Way to go Ricer. Your tenderloin on the LSG looks delicious. Keep them coming brother! Happy Holidays to you and yours. Anything with that charcoal insert yet? Lots Of buzz and questions about that on the old inter web….just sayin.
Thank you Jerry!!! Ya I have a plan for a video but I got to get a few of these other cooks out of the way first! Hope to use it and post the video in early January!! I need to do a practice run with it also!! I don't want to screw up the meat I am thinking about filming a video with!!! hahaha Like always brother I appreciate you watching and I hope you and yours have a wonderful Holiday Season!!!!!!!! Soon your LSG will be done!!!!
Great cook my man, the tenderloin looked delicious. Looking forward to more Tavern Talk when your schedule permits. Stay warm and keep the grill hot. Later.
Thank you Papa!!! Ya bro I am just so dang swamped with my day job and life so I had to cut back and the Tavern Talk was the best option for now!! I am planning on going live on Facebook before years end on the Nation page!! Plus I have a few other fellers that might go live in there from time to time also!! Like always bud i really appreciate all your support for The Nation!! With your help it makes it easier for me to do videos like this!! Happy Holidays Papa!!!
Looks phenomenal! I cant wait to try it out! I'll probably use some of the the trim to make some AusJu with some onions, celery, carrots and broth. Keep the videos coming, you do a great job!
Heck ya but they certainly are good eats!!! I was very happy how this choice turned out and saved me a few buck but prime is still better but prime is for Christmas this year ONLY!!! hahaha Thanks for watching and glad you enjoy my videos!!
Great video ricer!!! I never added the the sweetness to mine. I'll half to try it on my next batch.. which will be after I get the loanstar. 2 months of waiting I'm like a kid waiting on Xmas lol
Thanks Ty!!! Heck ya dude, funny how much ribeye and prime rib wwe eat around here so this one was nice change of pace for sure!! I appreciate you watching brother and enjoy your cook!!!
Hahahahaha YA man I have been tying meat up like that for a long time---jeez all the cuss words that would have been skipped if I would have just did some research!!!! hahahaha Like always brother, thanks for watching and I hope you happy an awesome Christmas!!!!!
@@DeadBrokeBBQ Watched a bearded butchers video the other day of them cooking a prime rib. They've gotten even better technique. I'm yet to try it though!
HAhahaha ya man I struggled ALL the time!! Funny thing is Rus was going to tell me this last year but forgot!!! Better late than never though!!! hahaha Rus saved me a lot of F Bombs in the future!!! hahaha Thanks for watching brother!!
Wow Connor now that is a compliment!!! Seriously I appreciate the kind words brother and glad you enjoy my content!!!! Happy Holidays brother and thanks for watching!!!!
Thanks Mike! Yes I have a chimney and exhaust fans to deal with the smoke but where I live I have to film inside or take the winter off! It is -3 out right now here!! hahaha so I rigged up stove pipe, added a pellet stove and now we can cook all the time in a sweatshirt!! ha ha
Hey Jeff great video I'm going to make one Saturday for a Birthday party but my family mostly like meat well done cook!! What tempura I should take the Tenderloin out of my pit boss like well done ?
Well done???? Time for a new family bro!!!! hahaha anything over 155-160° is well done. So I guess I would pull it at 150-155° but honestly I don't really have any idea because I never cooked anything that done before. Around here we call that shoe leather or grandma's steak!!! hahaha jk Good luck and have a good cook!!
Thanks Kevin!!!! Glad you enjoyed the video brother!! Has been a crazy busy 2 weeks!! Just glad I was able to get a video done!!! Like always brother, I appreciate you watching!!!
Hahahaha ya Jeff the ole Donger loves when he gets a little attention from me!! Stands straight up on command!!! hahahhahaa Like always thank you for all your support to "the Nation" and like always I appreciate you watching!!!
Great video. Instead of folding the tail try cutting it off next time and Tieing it on top. When you fold it goes against the grain, but when you cut then tie it keeps everything the same.... Chief Jean Pierre has a good explanation and demonstration on his channel about it.
Heck ya I like that idea!!! I will certainly give this a try!! MAybe for Christmas because everyone is asking for a repeat!!!hahaha Thanks for watching!!!!!
Awesome video brother. I always make sure to get rid of any Jussie Smollet...it's a total joke! Anyway, do you smoke in a garage? It's getting really cold in VA and having issues in the backyard with cold weather.
Hahahaha smart Mike!!! hahaha Yes I smoke in my garage now year around. I just can't film in Wisconsin winters that easy. Last spring I decided I would just convert the garage to a studio and man what a great decision that turned out to be! No more rain, snow, sleet, or even night videos with bad lighting!! Yes now our cars have snow on them but I will take that over setting up tripods in a snowbank anyday!!! hahahah Even before I had a RU-vid channel I always cooked in the garage with the door s all open. Now I got things to help remove the smoke and keep the studio warm! Thanks for watching Mike!!
@@DeadBrokeBBQ Ricer, that's awesome man!!! I was looking into doing that as well. Glad to see it worked out and it looks freaking great! I enjoy the videos and the lessons, man. I'll see you on the next one.
HAhahahaha me too!!!! Took my good friend Rus to finally tell me how to do one easier thank how used to do it!!! hahahaha jeez could have skipped a lot of cuss words in the past if I knew this 20 years ago!!!!! hahaha Thanks for watching Gary!!!
Been smoking tenderloins for parties for a while now and it’s my favorite and definitely crowd favorite. Simple, not a long smoke and my opinion the best part of the cow. Picked ups. Couple tips on this one, great video as always!
Wow Ben sorry for the late reply!!! This was buried in a bunch of replies!! I agree they are so good and don't take much time at all to cook up!! Thanks for watching and Happy New Year!!!
Great cook Ricer. Love this LSG cooks for sure while waiting for mine to get here. Question for you..... i was watching a pretty popular RU-vidr and he teamed up with a business owner guy who sells grills and he made a comment or a few comments saying he cooked on a LSG pellet grill once and said it wasn't anything special. Aslo said he wasnt sure if it burns clean smoke. Makes me think if he really did cook on one he wouldn't of said that. Also since he cant sell LSG maybe he just compliments his own brands. Maybe...With all your grills how does it stack up in your opinion? I had a chance to taste BBQ locally to me that was prepared and one was a LSG with others having a few of the most popular grills like yoder and pitts&spitts and a couple others. LSG had by far best smoke taste.
Ya I scrubbed through that 30 minute video. He is just sad that the Yoder pit is not as good as the LSG and they both have fireboard controllers. Plus also sad that all his pits are like tin cans next to the LSG. I have ran sooooo many pellet grills and they all pretty much produce the same flavor profile but the LSG is the CLOSEST pellet grill to match my old offset in smoke flavor that I have ran to date. I didn't see where he talked about the LSG, I skipped through and watched the winner of the rib cook. Weber Smokecatchesonfire won but they only had one rack of ribs in there so at least it didn't have enough grease flowing to blow up!! hahaha If he talked down the LSG then he is afraid nobody will buy his top of the line cookers anymore. But at least he has GMG. My buddy bought one of those 6 months ago, used it twice and wants to sell it. He went back to running his ZGrill and Traeger. The GMG might show up in a video here one of these days but I got so many pits coming I am not sure when I will get everything done!!!! hahaha Anyone who has ran a pellet grill before and then cooks on a LSG says the same thing as me, never ran one better for smoke flavor!!!
Send me an email Steve! I sell them but they are on demand only. I have sold a few of them now and they are pretty dang awesome!! send me an email deadbrokebbq@gmail.com and I can give you more details!!! Thanks for watching brother!!
Heck ya Mike!!! Man these beef prices need to come down because if we all just start eating vegetables there will still be just as many farts in the air anyways no matter what any politician says!!! hahaha Thanks for watching brother!!
Keeps a little barrier so the bottom of the loin doesn't doesn't overcook and you have an inch of medium well. Just trying to get that wall to wall pink. Thanks for watching!
Bigger and thicker OJ and honestly a better design. Plus the smoke profile is incredible on this pit. I have a couple friends with the YS640 and they both want to sell theirs and get a new LSG after seeing this one in action. Plus the 40lbs hopper makes overnight cooks stress free!!! Thanks for watching!!
Thanks for your reply I keep seeing more smoke on every lone star pellet grill video compared to the yoder. I see the yoder gets hotter to sear a steak but I'm learning to lone star.
Ya they do because the LSG's fire pot is below the pit and with how they programed the control head helps it smoke a lot more!!! But I talked to Chris last month and they are in the works of creating another mode called grilling to get it to produce even more heat! I have to be honest I am not a fan of any sear I have gotten off the direct flame on ANY pellet grill. I prefer to use cast iron or grillgrates so I can control the sear better. But I am happy to hear they are thinking of more things they can do to this pit!! The game has just begun for LSG and that is exciting!!!
ha ha ya be nice if it worked like a microwave but you don't have to rotate like I did but then you will have a 5° difference from left to right. I do the exact same thing when I cook in an oven. If you ever actually measured the heat in your oven you will see that there is a difference in that also.
YA the Cliff the pull temp was 124 but it carried over to 135-137 so right between medium rare and medium. Tenderloins using this cooking method typically carry over about 10-12 degrees. Thanks for watching brother and Happy Holidays!!
One of my 1st big cooks was a beef tenderloin, came out amazing and thank flat earth Santa cause it was $100 and back then, we were Dead Broke and I was using a Brinkmann, I got lucky but thought I was a pitmaster, lol
HECK YA ROB!!! Funny how 1 cook brings on the addiction!!!! hahaha Flat Earth Santa was watching and you made him PROUD!!!! ha ha Thanks brother for all your support and Merry Christmas to you and yours!!!
