Hello once again everybody! I hope you enjoyed to the video! Be sure to like, comment, and subscribe for more grilling content! Have a very Merry Christmas!
Great looking bird. Thanx For sharing. Is it the colder the outside temp, the higher the P-setting & higher the temp, the lower the P-set? I keep forgetting
Not a problem, if the weather is cold you decrease the P setting and vise versa if it is hot. Basically the lower the P setting the hotter it will burn. Hope this helps.
@@thebackyardgriller9076 remember the p setting only changes things in the smoke and high setting on the temp settings it has no effect the pellets are fed to meet the set temp
Hey, brother! Just bought my Pit Boss Austin XL last week, and I am so glad that I found your channel! But a question, if I may ... what knives are you using in this video? I need a couple of really nice knives, and don't mind paying for quality. Thanks!!
What's up my man, thank you. I am away from home at the moment but checkout my brisket 101, I show the knife there and I bought them at Amazon very affordable. Just keep them clean and sharp and they perform very well. Thanks for watching and congrats on your purchase.
Hey there to give you an idea on the capacity I have smoked a 25 pound Turkey and a 10 pound fresh ham and there was still room for a smoking tube and a water bowl. It handles two 15 pound briskets no problem. As for the ribs you can place 6 on the bottom rack and 2 on the top rack but remember that you can use rib rack and increase the capacity to 12 ribs on the bottom and 2 on top...14 ribs! Yikes. Great question and thanks for watching.
What size smoker do you have? I believe you said it’s the 820. It seems to keep the temps really well. Would you get consider getting a larger one or would you stick with what you currently have? Thanks
@@El_H006 yes it is the 820, it does hold temp very well. I am very interested in the larger pro version that just came out, the day that I wear this one out I will get the larger one. I love this grill, it gets used 2-3 times per week. I wish that Pit boss would send me the new one to review lol!
I currently have a GMG Jim Bowie and Weber 22.5 bullet but would like to switch to a stick burner - possibly Old Country Pecos and or Wrangler. Also would like to have a pellet grill. That’s why I’m asking so many questions. Don’t you also have an Old Country Pecos? If so, how do you like it? How many racks of ribs do you think it holds? Thanks.
@@El_H006 yes I also have a Pecos, I like it alot. I have only cooked 6 slabs in it but it definitely can handle more. The only thing that I dont like about it is that it doesn't have a warming rack which is something that I will add in the future. It sounds like you are looking more for capacity have you looked at the old country cantina Xl also at Academy? It is not a smoker rather a large grill. And I dont mind the questions at all, keep em coming.
