I love when you give us dupes for high end stuff. Here's a request! My skin tone (fair-ish) is super uneven and blotchy. Plus I have super dark shadows all around my eyes. I feel like I have to wear full coverage foundation so I rarely wear makeup except lipstick because it's a LOT of work. I only wear it for performances (I'm a musician). It takes me about 45 minutes for a full face of makeup. Too long. Yes, I'm older but I used to be able to put on full face in 15-20 minutes. But since my skin is sallow-ish, I just let it go. You can see the difference if I wear makeup for any of my YT videos or for pics. Is there a work-around for this??? When i wear makeup people tell me how vibrant and pretty I look. How smooth my skin looks. If they only knew how much work goes into it. I'm 70 and colorblind by the way, LOL!!
How about a false eyelash tutorial if you haven't done one? Or what we can possibly use and do to grow our own naturally? I love when you do "dupes", drugstore makeup, no makeup makeup looks, skincare, hair, and your Dollar Tree finds are great and really fun to watch! Basically I love it all, lol! Something I’ve always wanted in 1 video is how many of each brush should I have? What order I should put them in, what they’re called (not the brands, please for this one), every time you switch to a new brush, what does it look like, what should it feel like, how dense, how fluffy, how flat, how angled or straight, why, can a brush be used for 2 things, 3 things? There are so many brushes! I can’t find a foundations brush, a powder brush, (well now I’ll be attempting to do powder with a smaller to medium flat rounded brush because I saw Lisa Eldridge put powder on super minimally in a very tiny patting motion, in only super select areas & for my age, I think that will work maybe… I’m just too crepey & creasy for powder… I think?)… I digress & got off topic. Back to brushes…Please show me a normal (to you) powder brush & how exactly to use all these brushes. Like, you’ve shown your fine lines… how do you powder them or do you? Should I? What’s the difference in a contour brush from a blush brush & highlighter brush. A full face of makeup including every type of brush you can think of & naming & really explaining it & the motions & technique needed. Wow! I’m so sorry that got so long & that I added another content creator, but you both are so beautiful, but have such different looks. I watch so many artists & makeup tutorials & have found that brushes are the single most confusing thing to a non-professional imho. This would probably be a really long video. Am I the only totally confused person who cannot put makeup on right to save my life? I look like, awful, every time!

This look is stunning! I just LOVE your makeup tutorials. The only problem I have is that when I am finished and move away from the magnifying mirror, I expect to look exactly like you. It hasn't happened yet. (Long disappointed sigh....). You are SO GORGEOUS!! My makeup can look perfect, but I STILL don't look like you. However, I am NOT giving up! I hope your health improves soon. I can totally relate to your comment. I'm chronically unwell with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and it really uses up quite a bit of energy to apply make-up and then take it off before bed; but I find these videos so relaxing, entertaining and inspiring to watch. On my better days I try to do some of the techniques. Take care. 😇🙏💛

Non makeup related question: What do you recommend to put on your hair to help straighten it and protect from heat when blow drying? I have naturally wavy hair and lots of cowlicks in weird places. I usually just let it be wavy but sometimes I just want to go totally straight.
I tried your smoky eye today and really liked it even with my hooded eyes. I think I would have done better though if I had that pencil brush. I had one from Nikol Johnson but it disappeared. Broke my heart to lose it. Thank you for these fun tips.

I never thought of putting powder over a pencil eyeliner. Great idea! Do you have a dupe for that Mario palette? Do you have a dupe for the liquid eyeshadow? Do you have a dupe for the color corrector, especially for lighter skin tones?
Aaaw Mia that is so sweet! Thank you! I love being your virtual younger sis! As for the dupes...the ELF eyeshadow palettes are good and they're very inexpensive. You can get neutral matte shades in those palettes that look similar to Makeup by Mario. For the color corrector, ELF also has a putty colour-correcting eye brightener. For liquid shadow, I often use the Revlon color stay cream shadow. It's not as metallic as this but it's easy to use and very pretty.

I have a really fun, really cool bit of trivia to share with you: Mario told the Lipstick Lesbians that his matte eyeshadow palette is based entirely on the skin tones of the world, and was his way of establishing 'world peace' via makeup. And his Master Metallics palette is based on what we all look like on the inside, all of our cells and organs, because inside we all look the same. Isn't that cool!?
