SO Great to see tan asian make up tutorial. I don't stay locked up inside all the time so my skin becomes tan and I don't have any sense for makeup so I always have to look up tutorials. But whenever I look up tutorials for asians they are always Asians with pale white skin or always put on foundation 3 shades lighter than their natural skin tone or film in bright light so it's hard to tell their actual skin tone. Watching this tutorial has given me some confidence in my skin tone.
I really enjoyed this video. The make up artist was very professional and understanding and the other girl was so naturally beautiful. She smiled along the video just like I would do if I was in her place. This made me very comfort and concentrated on what I wanted to learn. Thank you so much for shearing with us :)
This is actually so stunning, you picked such a good woman to apply the makeup on. She's beautiful and the work you've done was incredibly creative yet still held such elegance. Amazing.
Her appearance makes me feel comfortable with my skin. She's has exact skin tone as me. Before I've been whitening my skin because some Asians people looks so white and pale but this video made me feel confidence 😊
i love her skin color, it's so pretty omg so nice to see other Asians with skin that isn't pale. i wish Asians would embrace tan skin more. all skin colors are beautiful and none should be favored over another
The way people comment about her tan skin makes me accept myself!! :3 I have tan skin too, but most asians prefer light skin... So... I used to get bullied a lot bc of my skin color. But hey, asians might not like my tan skin tone but maybe other people would! xD
Really? That's sad to hear. I grew up in the UK mostly and tan skin is quite coveted here. Doesn't make a difference to me, but I wish tan skin girls in East Asia were represented more on the media because it does affect society's mentality towards tan skinned girls. It's upsetting so much, I want to set a charity or some sort to educate the public that East Asian girls with tan skin are just as beautiful, if not more, than pale skin girls. As for yourself, be confident and proud. You're tan skin is great ^^
WOW!! I MUST SAY...I HAVE TO SUBSCRIBED TO MANY MAKEUP VLOGGERS... BUT I MUST SAY...AS MUCH AS I LOVE EACH AND EVERYONE OF THEM.... THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT "YOU" THAT PUTS YOU IN A LEAGUE OF YOUR OWN. YOU ARE INCREDIBLY TALENTED!!! AND YOU NEVER OVERDO IT... YOUR MAKEUP ALWAYS LOOKS PERFECT. NATURAL & BEAUTIFUL. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOU!!!
My eyes are pretty big and I have a crease. But what's so annoying is that my crease folds over itself so I have to apply a really thick line of eyeliner for just a tiny sliver of it to show (because the folds cover a majority of it). Anyone else have this problem?
pixiwoo, u r so talented. u made an asian girl's eyes look amazing. i love the way u blend the colors on to her eye lids, u just made every harsh lines disappear with your own technic and talent.
Finally! An Asian who has similar features to me! I bet she's Southeast Asian (like me). I find a lot of East Asian makeup tips - specifically Korean and Chinese tips - over the top and not fitting for my face.
Love this video! The model is beautiful and she was so cute that she kept smiling - you could see how thrilled she was to have her make up done by you Nicky! As would we all be! love it!!
Everytime i try to use dark shadows on my eyes, i always look like I've been punched in the eye so if i did this look on myself I'd look like someone punched me in the eye...10 times...
this look where you evenly put dark shadow all over your lid doesnt suit everybody. just try to place the colour in the outer corner and work it towards the inner corner and put a more peachy or rosy colour around the dark one to blend it. and try to slightly build the colour. at least thats what works for me.
iDanceeForYou have you ever encountered peach eyeshadow making your eyes look swollen because every time i use it my mum says my eyes look swollen but it's either that or the color isn't visible at all
shes soo pretty love the her skin tone & that makeup look so lovely on her pls do more looks with her as being asian too i love tips on how to do the eyemakeup
it's so hard to find a makeup tutorial for asians with darker skin tone hooded lids like me. Where I'm from people are always trying to lighten their skin. Clad I stumbled across this tutorial! :))
This is a 3 year old upload but she is still gorgeous before and after. Love tutorials that show you how to enhance your own features and make it work.
Could you guys do a tutorial on how to contour a rounder/fuller face? I think it might be helpful for those of us with a more curvaceous body type to learn how to make contouring look realistic either for ourselves or our clients. Thanks!
I've actually seen her model for a "natural Asian makeup tutorial" and she looks way beautiful on that video and more professionally done but I couldn't find it! This one is great too
I instinctively have let my foundation/concealers "cook" my whole adult life. I am building a kit and hope to be out freelance in 18 months or so...late in life maybe, but a lot of time I've had to apply makeup. I am learning from the best on the planet right here! So appreciated!
The model was adorable watching her wonderful smile and she seemed to be totally enjoying herself. The only thing I would have done differently in regards to color selection, is to have made her lips redder. The heavy, dark, intense eyemake up was not balanced by the shinny pink lipstick. It was as if she had two totally different looks on the bottom and top part of her face. Application was great, except I would have liked to have had a glimpse at all of the products used, and more info given as to brand and color.
Thank god you put the translucent powder on at the end. The shinyness was way too distracting & I was getting worried that you'd leave her like that lol.
Soo helpful! The makeup is amazing! The model is "perfect" too! "Typical" asian face! (Is se Vietnamese?) i was quite glad that she did not have a monolid, instead a small-eyelid space:) 1st i thought that the brows were too heavy, but after darkening the eyes it looked right:) it made her face more defined! The whole tutorial is super;D
I really think the makeup artist isn't getting it right. The makeup she applied makes her eye look more hooded to me. Too much dark in the wrong place.
she looked so much cuter without the horrible severe overdone brows. and then once you overdid the brows, you started adding makeup everywhere to try to balance the "dragon lady" brows. this makes me sad. the makeup does not suit her youthful-looking face.
