One of the best creations of Mr. Ryan Cayabyab: Smokey Mountain. Lahat sila mahuhusay . Nakaka antig talaga! Their voices are authentic... walang sigaw ng sigaw... malilinaw ang lyrics... They know how to perform. They are simply wonderful!

i guess kaya madami naiiyak , kasi naalala natin ang kabataan natin. walang stress , masaya , simple buhay ganun.

Why all people rooting on Jayson Angangan Jayson is a powerhouse during his time.. arguably the best member of smokey mountain they've ever had, if we talked about singing prowess.. His rough and rugged appearance back then, sobrang ahead of its time. Hindi forced at hindi pinilit para maging taste ng masa... Then smokey mountain broke up and separated... And we never heard him since. Nalaman na lang namin ng mga fans nya kung ano ang nangyari sa kanya after 20 years... A boy from the province, dinala at nakapunta sa manila because of his talent, nakapunta sa ibat ibang bansa because of his talent, bumalik at umuwi ng probinsya after everything fell, and never heard since then.. Di natin alam kung ano ang totoong nangyari during and between those years pero as a fan, nakakalungkot, at malaking panghihinayang... May mga kwento na pinagdaanan daw nya after Smokey Mountain days at pag uwi nya sa Isabela, na mas lalong nakakalungkot na malaman. Regardless, he's back now, we love to hear his voice again. Goosebumps... I am a fanatic of Smokey Mountain when i was in my 1st Year High School days... Around 1991 basta sa skul namin dati 4 din kaming magka klase we keep on singing their songs, dancing the Street People... Tapos sa Camporal namin i was the Representative in our troupe there was a singing contest and my piece was SABIHIN MO by Tony Lambino... Buti nlng i got the 1st place tapos when i was i 3rd year high school.. There was an audition here in Davao city at Victoria Plaza i tried pero wala ehh hanggang doon... Doon ko nakita sina james, jayson, chedi and Zhar... Nostalgia... Its nice to bring back the old memories of the SMOKEY MOUNTAIN... Sayang lang i never keep my journal lahat ng picture frkm magazines, news papers kina cut ko sayang lang talaga.... Im so happy that they had this reunion through virtual singing... This ECQ really brought me back to the old days. Yung pelikula, I was watching old filipino action movies. Sa hapon yung mga old PBA games. Tapos yung sa hits channel like karate kid etc. And then pumasok tong Smokey mountain. There is so much na nakakamiss of my childhood that this ECQ is bringing back to my memory.No cellphone,no computer. Local channel lang,tape,plaka at yung tv ko sa room hangang channel 8 lang.

I remember singing these songs when I was in high school in the 1990s. I would imagine myself as one of them! 😃 I tried to study the harmonies by listening to the songs repeatedly on my walkman (casette tape). Several years ago here in Japan, one of my co-worker Japanese teachers mentioned she liked one particular Pinoy song before. She hummed it and I recognized the song right away...it’s “Paraiso”!!! It was a hit here in Japan.

We even interpreted Paraiso. So surreal and nostalgic listening to it. An era when there were no internet and people of all ages would listern to their radios for relaxtion. I miss those days.

What I love about Geneva is that she could have just used her uncles' (Tirso Cruz and Ricky Belmonte) influences to gain stardom but no! She found her way to the top coz of her talent. Sheryl Cruz back then was already a bright star too, pwede na din sanang natulungan sya ni Sheryl but Geneva really worked hard for everything she has. All of these people are very talented! Hope everything is good with them! I grew up listening to them literally. I was around 2 or 3 when they started with the 1st batch. 😊

Di ko alam na dati pa pala may ganito na kagaling na Ppop group ang Pilipinas naririnig ko lang ang smokey mountain habang tumatanda ako batang 90's ako pero di ko napapanood kung gaano pala sila ka husay nung panahon nila kaya some artist until now ay proud kapag sinasabing part sila ng smokey mountain dati I didn't know that they were this great. I was crazy about Smokey Mountain.These were my music icons during my teens. They still got it. Jeffrey's voice is so soothing. I wish Anna joined them much sooner. Known for her powerful voice, she also looks very charming. Thanks for this mini digital reunion. Makes me proud to be a fan all these years.

I am an OFW here in the UK, a frontliner assigned in the covid ward. This reunion gives me so much joy and inspiration. I really want to go home and be with my family but I'm living now with my call of duty as a nurse. However, through this virtual reunion from my favourite group in my youth, it's like I am travelling back in time, back to my simple and stress free life of my childhood. Thank you so much for this much awaited reunion. I've always dreamed of seeing you guys back together again. Who would have thought it will be realized in this difficult time. Now we know that the songs of socio-political and environmental themes that they sang in the 90s still are relevant these days. They are already classified as classic and timeless. And I am pleased to know how these singing youngsters of the 90s have become --- successful and accomplished individuals. I'd like to believe that part of their success is their being socially responsible citizens of the world.
