Undeniably world class! Cayabyab and those four kids did more with this song (and with "Da Coconut Nut") to help Tondo's and Smokey Mountain's people than hundreds of documentaries and charity campaigns. Hats off! If that isn't pure genius, then nothing is!

We only have a small TV back then... the whole family is watching... parang Ms Universe lang.. but the only difference was I knew from the very start na sila na ang panalo👏 great song composition, great rendition and just in time lahat ng tempo.... that was years years back. Smokey mountain was really a force to reckon with in Asia. Best performer in Golden Kite Song Festival and then this. Mr. C is a genius..he changed the arrangement to include the a capella part to make the whole song "festival-sounding". Kumbaga may kambyo and grand ending. Clap clap clap! After so many years, watching this still gives me goosebumps ❤️ If I remember correctly, Malaysia's Zainal Abidin (another favourite of mine) won the 2nd place and Singapore's Dick Lee presented the award to him ❤️ It's a pity that Singapore's Culture Vulture didn't win.
