It's always 4:20 somewhere. Also - this is the second last episode of season one! I'll still be on Twitter and doing the podcast weekly, and we're not not actively filming more right now, so...
Totally sucks he's not here, but he never got back to me and I didn't want to use his content without permission. We make this show for a TV channel here in Canada (before it comes here) so we need to do everything above board now.
I'm glad the video touched on it (somewhat) but I still find weed content hard to watch. People making money off weed culture are people (usually white) from well-off families. Meanwhile, a significant portion of the prison population is serving time on weed charges, simply for trying to feed themselves/loved ones.
Loved this episode. Glad to see that after This Exists you're still carrying that style that brought us all on board. You're very skilled at finding the meat in these sorts of topics, and t I feel I could watch you break down anything. It's also fascinating to have the interviews. It's something that was only barely used in This Exists, but here it seems vital to get an inside perspective, and learn about the motivations of the people involved outside of just the subject at hand.
This is awesome man, thanks for shedding a light on it! We started doing some "weedtuber" stuff recently and are having a blast with what we call "Reefer Reviews"
Man, this series is fantastic. Neat topics, great stories, all around great production as well! Might have been hard with the pandemic, but damn you (and team) sure nailed it!
yo Sam, have you thought about doing colabs? I feel like you would mesh quite well with people like Internet Historian and get a bit of steam back into your revived account. Loving your show btw :)
On the subject of imprisonment, the U.S. House of Representatives just voted to legalize marijuana, which would apparently also cause the release of non-violent offenders. Of course I bet the "non-violent" clause isn't as straight forward as it should be.
Weed content was so cool to me when i first started smoking but it quickly got old. Weed is cool and all, i love my dabs but it’s not even a good enough gimmick to keep attention. Weed must be boomin rn, i just had 3 shops setup in my area during covid, 4 legal shops in total.
The worst thing about stoners is weed culture. It's hype because it is new and now legalish, but starts losing its rebellious lustre when grandma is vaping to treat her glacoma and ultimately gets absorbed into the mainstream. Co-optimization always wins in the end. But methhead culture is freakin hilarious.
@@quintessenceSL since when has this ever been about being rebellious? This is about bringing old medicine back into a society that is still immature...
I 100% support the decriminalization and destigmatizing of weed. But still, weed culture is fucking annoying, don't be surprised if any of these guys still goes and wears a rastafari hat thinking they're justifies to do so.
