Serious. I really am happy to see more people discover these amazing pieces of Spidey media, but also, its a real double edged sword, specially with getting your hands on merch now. I only started making enough of my own money to justify buying 20 year old pieces of plastic for triple their original price, and I am greeted with sky high prices. Things have seemed to simmer down though, I found a great couple of listings recently.
Man toybiz had so much detail for just hand sculpted figures. Now we have so much sculpting technology and hasbro uses just basic shapes for reusable molds. What a shame
The figure is a lot of fun, it's a shame he doesn't have slightly more articulation but ToyBiz nailed the sculpt as usual, I'd let Hasbros sm3 line off a lot "cuz they were smaller" but when you compare them to this it rlly shows how dog shit they were to begin with Awesome vid as always dude 🤟
I wish my parents knew this existed back then. That was my favorite scene to recreate with my figures. and I had to use a laundry basket for the train 😅
Man, seeing these ToyBiz figures makes me realize how "ahead" ToyBiz was of its time or how we fell into a pool of mediocrity with Hasbro's Marvel Legends... there were amazing accessories and features with them (not only a mod sold and superficially painted) ... heck, the Marvel Legends era of ToyBiz was absurdly awesome and was justifiable for what it was selling (a figure + a large sculpted stand+ accessories + a retro comic). So sad to see how our standards have fallen to what they have become today...
Dude, I didn't even know this figure existed. I am a ToyBiz Spider-man movie line collector myself and ever since this video I have been loking for it every where and luck had it that I hound him on Ebay. glad to see a fellow Raimi Spider-man collector keeping this stuff relevant. Thanks dude.
It's funny, I got this set brand new in the box for a whopping $13 AUD off of eBay, just before the No Way Home hype train skyrocketed the prices on these figures

I have the small one u cab see him at 6:34 he is the middle one I got mine at a flea market later I put him in a bag and my dog bit him broke his arm and his foot but I glued him back together and I glued magnets to his feet and now he hangs on my curtain but before that I would take him with me everywhere but now that he has magnets I think he might mess up my phone or something because the magnets he is such an amazing figure I think I got him for like $0.50 I was so happy that day I was literally jumping as the guy gave him to me when I first seen him I told the guy to hold him for me I ran to my aunt's car and asked my grandma for 50 Cent and then I got him that day was spectacular
I got the Lego Tobey Maguire Spider-Man for free the guy I got it from made me promise to keep it safe I moved in with my cousin for a bit with my family but I ended up leaving the Spider-Man at her house when I got my own house and now she says it's hers when I find it again I will take him back home with me if I can find him it has been like 2 maybe 3 years since I seen him
What fig is it mine is new goblin loose waist articulation and body bend loose and spiderman 3 black suit missing an arm because its used got it with goblin for 17 or 16 so lucky
