This delicious Custard Pudding has an extra-smooth texture and rich flavor!
How to Make Custard Pudding

(serves 4)
1 Whole Egg
1 Egg Yolk
200ml Milk (6.8 fl oz)
50ml Heavy Cream (1.7 fl oz)
2 tbsp Granulated Sugar
⅓ Vanilla Bean or substitute: vanilla extract
- Caramel Sauce -
50g Granulated Sugar (1.8 oz)
2 tsp Water
50ml Hot Water (1.7 fl oz)
150ml Oven-Safe Cups or substitute: ramekins or custard cups (5 fl oz)

I like how she improved upon her original creme caramel recipe from 2011. I tried the original recipe a few times then decided to use half and half, add a yolk, and vanilla for richer and better flavor. Great to see that she's doing the same thing!

I tried it today, it was light and soft and sweet, this recipe for those who like cream caramel light and smooth with natural flavor. The recipe is very quick and easy, didn't take time in the oven, exactly 25 minutes, it was cold and ready to eat in 2 hours. loved it, thank you 👍💛. 🔴 note: If you are looking for something heavy, creamy or rich in flavor, this recipe is not for you. 🔴 The second day became more distinct taste, the recipe delicious and perfect and very sweet without caramel sauce, I did not use it definitively.

I've already made this recipe 3 times , it's so good and easy Just an FYI if you're using a bigger oven it takes more time to bake (30 min - 40 min) should do it

Crème Caramel or Crème Brulee sooooo delicious but in the past my caramel was simply merde.....so I like your style so much better you are an awesome Chef as well as Francis and so wonderful to see a Chef who doesn't scream at his help and is calm very refreshing !!!!! And modest too !!! Please do a recipe on delicious Seaweed Salad and Miso soup variations two of my favorites !!!! Many thanks you are awesome ! Corie

The difference between this and Creme Brulee is that this one is light and not as creamy and thick. I like them all but Japanese custard is very light. I'm had Italian Creme Brulee it is often very sweet because of the caramel crust on top and the texture is very thick compare to this.

Hello chef, first of all i love your recipes and your dog, and today i love your shirt too. Just a question about the temperature, in the video Francis says 250° C, but then it's written 150° C. What's the temperature?

It's like a reverse Purin! But, I am curious... What is the purpose of adding hot water to the caramel sugar when it's done cooking? Is it to temper it? To stop it from scalding further and becoming burnt?

I think if you want an ultimate smooth texture, use only whipping cream or whatever it is called instead of milk. The texture will be smooth and very rich and creamy.

Hi love your video! I just have a question: when mixing the eggs, what if the egg white can't be mixed evenly and leave tiny chunks amongst the yolk? How should this be voided?

I tried this recipe yesterday, it came out so delicious. But I really want to know, is it okay if the pudding kind of seperated with 2 layer, the top were creamy and rich but the bottom taste like regular custard pudding. Is it possible that the top layer contain heavy cream? Because heavy cream tends to float. Sorry for my english 😅

泡を取る工程のとき、サランラップをぐしゃぐしゃに丸めてそれを泡のついた表面に付けると一気に泡が取れますよ!今度作るときに試してみては…?😻
