Catching Smooth Hounds on Crab Cart is new to us but we thought we would give it a go, compared to regular Peeler Crabs it comes out with a fair fight and it works out cheaper, we managed to get hold of a few tubs of Crab Cart from Market Tackle in Plymouth and being a new shop and an extremely experienced fishing guide as the Boss it was a nice place to visit, so we plan on taking this bait to the Bristol Channel next to see if it can produce there also so stay tuned for the next installment of Crab Cart Fishing.

using some crab cart tomorrow on the south devon coast trying for a hound normally use a slither of squid down one side and bind it to that with plenty of elastic lasts a good while ive brouht it in 30mins later and still had plenty of cart there its way cheeper than pealers for bait specially at £5.50 a tub in plymouth

@@shorefishingfilms 0 spider crabs baits coming back untouched was a trawler coming along the beach about 200 yards out if that after it came through second time packed up loads of mackeral cauht so wasnt a compleatly wasted trip

Hi Andy, this is down on the north Devon coast, just along from westward hoe, all the beaches are roughly the same all the way along to Clovelly, any beach will do the same here, we have now tried the cart at lilstock on the reefs to the left at low tide and it works fine although haven’t tried it there for a car yet.
