Welcome to our channel Shore Fishing Films, my name is Kevin Brandwood and I have been fishing since the 1970’s, I have been involved in magazine articles for Total Sea Fishing, I have been on film with Online Fishing TV, I have many competition placements to my name and I have been tournament casting with 250+ yards to my name in all weight groups, that’s enough about me, the aim of our channel is to help everybody to gain vital experience in shore fishing in today’s environment, we will give you help with baiting, rigs, weather and tide information through video footage and updates on how we get on, we love fishing and really like meeting people and helping them get the most from their chosen sport, our aim is to show you how we catch fish, the techniques we use, the bait and more importantly how to recognise fish holding areas and cast to them, we will talk you through how we fish basically, so we hope you enjoy our channel and enjoy your fishing.
Thank you, I have never actually tried a wishbone, thought about it many times but I may give that a try thanks, see if a plaice or two will take it, thanks for watching 👍
Hi we fished the lagoons at Easington over the top of the rocks into the clay, I don’t think a winner would come from there but you always have a chance if you can catch a few fish, thanks for watching we hope you enjoyed it 👍
Yes we got into a few in the lagoons at Easington, we fished into the clay so it stayed deeper then the flat beaches further up, although you do loose a bit of tackle.👍
Brilliant video Kevin. We were next to you on both days, one side Saturday the other on Sunday. Only undersized whiting for us but thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially the Sunday. Well done on those codling and Haddock 👍
Hi yes I saw your video was really good, it was tough going on that Saturday but we knew there was a chance of a fish on the Sunday if the weed stayed away, hopefully we will catch up with you next year and I will keep an eye out for your videos 👍
We fished the lagoons at Easington, so fished into the clay, lost a bit of gear but we did manage a few fish for the video so that worked out in the end, it was tough going Friday and sat though wasn’t it 👍
No that’s Easington, it’s a place where you can reach the clay gullies at long range, although it can be a nightmare with the rocks and the clay it’s self for getting stuck but as long as you fish carefully it can be rewarding, it’s not know as a big fish venue but can produce numbers of good size 👍 thanks for watching and commenting we are glad you enjoyed the video 😃
@@tomjenkinson8958 wow that’s a way, I bet there are some better cod up there, maybe we can catch up next year if your down, we have been fishing this comp since 1995 when it was the Bridlington Open and watched it build over the years, we knew Paul really well, the travelling anglers are usually struggle more as the marks change so much and the local anglers have that extra knowledge but I am more than happy to share our knowledge to help.
Hi kev you ok pal, nice one for the footage again, spot on. Well done to you and ya boy getting on the stage with ya codlings you deserved that. Especially losing one of your team Kevin who I have watched on your previous vids from the competition. I think he was looking down on you boys on the final day. R.I.P KEVIN FROM GRIMSBY. Well done on the haddock aswell. I don't when you left but Monday n Tuesday the weather was amazing you couldn't make it up. All the best chaps from G.Y
Thanks Carl, weather was dodgy deffo but enjoyed it anyway, yep Kev was definitely looking down on us this year, thanks for your comments Carl I am glad you enjoy the videos it makes it all worth while 👍
Thank Tim we appreciate the great comments, it was hard this year to film in amongst the downpour’s but managed to get some video done and collect some prizes too, thangs again 👍
A nice little video starting at Minehead then Chesil then Minehead again I thought that was good. A few fish to show for your time and atleast no blank so well done chap's 😊
Good to see your still making the vids Kev!! Horrible news to hear about Kevin Winters!! Lovely bloke! Used to look forward to having great conversations with you and him at the EOBC! Look forward to seeing you again in a couple of weeks mate!👍
Hi Kevin you ok pal and hi to ryan , its good to see a vid again to watch nice one. Sorry to hear about the loss of Mr winters R.I.P. I can remember watching him with you boys at the E.O.B.C.. ALL the best from up on the North East coast GRIMSBY.
Thank you, it’s was good to be out filming again, we have been out fishing but not taken the camera really just felt like fishing for a change but we need to progress the channel as our youngest boy is sparking interest in it all now so he would like to fish properly now also, so will be back soon and thank you again for watching and commenting, tight lines 👍
Hi thanks for watching and yes I think they get called different things all around the country, that’s how we refer to the in the South West because of the 3 small beards but definitely appreciate all the different names, hope you enjoyed the video 👍
@@shorefishingfilms You'll find the shore rockling has a yellowish tinge to its underbelly whilst the three bearded rockling has a salmon pink tinge to its underside. The latter also has black spots all over its back and sides whilst the shore rockling doesn't.
Thanks for watching, and yes it was hard going but more because in that surf there is too much clay and I presume the fish are not that keen, and also getting far enough out to the calmer water is not easy in the wind as we all know but at least it wasn’t a blank. 👍
Sorry that was a bit of a rushed response, yes I had the chance to try one and they are very nice rods but I do still love my c-curve, thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed the video 👍
@@shorefishingfilms Yes i did and have watched all your EOBC ones. missed your mates this year but i like the insight into the comp, i guess you were'nt lucky on the raffle this year either
@@Clayshots12 nope unfortunately not 😩 but there’s always next year, being the 30th anniversary I hope for a bigger raffle lol, do you have any century’s?
Thanks Carl, I been trying to get back to everyone lol it’s been frantic, this video seems to have gone down a storm a bit like the surf, I presume the fish do not like the surf there because of the clay being stirred up, I would have gone to the end of spurn with everyone else but I don’t think Steve would have enjoyed that and it’s all about the enjoyment 🥳
Hi Kevin. Great video showing tough conditions and you didn't blank which out of everyone who fished is a fantastic achievement. Really nice looking video as well 👌
Hi I'm fishing it for the first time this year I'm on my own and need a space in a caravan i haven't got Facebook any suggestions would be gratefully received
Hi Robin, all I can suggest is posting on the eobc Facebook page and see if you get any joy there, unfortunately our van is full but I am sure you will get in with someone, I hope that helps.
@@shorefishingfilms it sure has kev we had 10 days of -5 mate, all gone now we got drizzle n the fog bk. But i'm bk out early 2moz 4 a 5 o'clock high , so leaving at midnight to see iff any codling about. All the best kev n family 4 xmas from GRIMSBY.
Yes we’re are all well thanks same to you all good? Thanks for finding us again looking forward to taking little Oscar for some flounders? That’s something we are not amazing at but hey you have to be in it to win it 👍
Enjoy fishing for small eye Ray's myself 🎣 totally enjoyed the video 💪 .not totally sold on the running pat for ray fishing much prefer it fixed but a nice simple rig and it does catch a rew fish makes a change from the pulley rig 💪 best of luck on you quest for a blonde ray
Thanks nick, I think the rig is designed for a plain weight but more so that the fish doesn’t feel the weight more just runs with the line, we just though give it a go more than anything, but onwards to blondes yay, thanks for watching and commenting we are glad you have enjoyed it 👍
Thanks Carl, yea was a good evenings fishing for a change rather than that Cod chasing we all do this time of year, we have never had a sizeable Blonde so going to try that next, thanks for watching and the great comment, tight lines 👍
@@shorefishingfilms some nice codling showing up this winter on the humber ,best for the last 2 or 3 years so far . The hull lads aswell . All the best from GRIMSBY.
